Memny, sweetheart, it got you to come out and play, didn't it?! Of course we all know I adore the namer of the Queen! Beside, I was still feeling a tad tetchy over that yukky spam pic... LOL

I can't wait for that "who's online" add-on. Will be so nice! They use it on other boards I've been to. I wonder if it will allow the 'stealth mode' though. On the others, I've noticed you can choose from options including: show that I'm online, show that I'm online only to (a user-selected group of other members), don't show that I'm online (stealth mode). I only use that last one if I'm lurking and don't plan to be in the board too long. In some cases the 'who's online' function even tells which 'room' the player is in so you don't have to go hunting forum by forum! In other's they have that icq-type function that let's you 'message' other members to tell them where you're hanging out or ask where they are. MSN gamezone has that last feature.

Is it still raining in Sydney?

Memnoch, we have our fair share of zealots here in the southeastern US but thankfully nothing like the Taliban! I did go to a funeral of a good friend last summer and the "sermon" if thats what you want to call it included a harsh scolding of the deceased and all his friends. Needless to say we were pissed off but just had to stand there and take it, not wanting to disrupt the funeral and cause any more grief to the family. However bad that was I cant quite compare southern Baptists to the Taliban though. I think the UN should impose a complete embargo of Afghanistan until a more rational form of government is formed.

MissCloudy, I know the patio process you are talking about. We built a house that was getting a front porch with the concrete slab under it. They colored it, stamped it, and made it look just like a tile porch. If I hadnt known it would have had me fooled. You can tell if you actually put your face down there and look but who does that? As you know they look great! Plus no broken tiles etc its there for good and low maintenance!

LoA: Yes and it is less expensive to build in addition to being more durable! Increte is the 'brand' name of the process I had done. I understand they even do it for driveways?! Now that would be interesting! I'm a pioneer in my neighborhood. First my fence- now everyone is getting similar fences...hahahaa (just a good quality cedar fence, but nobody in the neighborhood had high quality cedar privacy fencing- they were all chain link, or basic stockade or post and rail). Now the patio has intrigued them. LOL

I have no idea but it will be good. I've been bored shitless waiting for all you US East Coasters to wake up!!!!

Actually I'm not supposed to be home at all, but I couldn't bear the thought of Cloudy passing my total No really, it's Mardi Gras night tonight and I was supposed to be at my ex-girlfriend's party (the other girl I'm with in Stealthy's site). But it's been pissing down and I just couldn't be bothered. 2 years ago hail wouldn't have stopped me. I had a saying - it doesn't rain inside a nightclub!! I must be getting old

Actually the REAL reason is to keep an eye on you, make sure you don't break anything

Ladyzekke, thanks for your chortle. It put a smile on my face.

Memnoch re. your comments on fundamentalism I´d have to disagree dear brother.
A fundamentalist generally sticks to the basic principles of their respective faith unerringly. The Anglican diocese of Sydney is widely regarded by other Christian denominations as fundamentalist. Though some particular preachers are quite intolerant of opposing beliefs within Christianity, they would never go so far as destroy a church etc.

The crusades had little to do with religion other than the fact that it provided a means to gain the support of the common people to provide a cheap enthusiastic army. As I stated earlier, the Taliban are behaving in a similar way to most governments or orginisations of a strong ideology that seek to destroy existing monuments to a past culture. I´ve already mentioned the Communist Govts in Russia and China.

This is not a necessary byproduct of Fundamentalism, but of human greed, fear and ignorance. Religious teachings mostly seek to curb the destructive elements of human nature, not enflame them.
