The man staggers back from the party. Both figures vanish, the lights go out, and there is a growl like ripping linen. Then, gradually, the light returns and all three portals glow brightly: blue, green, and purple.

After waiting an inordinate amount of time Kaz'erthimon decides that his summoning will yield no creatures and follows the rest of teh group, he arrives on the scene of the portals just in time to witness the attack. "What is the meaning of this, the being was not hostile, and he may have had information useful to our quest."

Skye gave Beorn a bemused look. "There was no need for that," she said calmly. "I realised that there was some trickery about. Very rarely would a man of that caliber talk to me without some other motive. It would have been helpful to find out some information from him, and perhaps help us decide which path to take. Even if it means a path other then the one he takes me to." Sparing the three portals a sidelong glance she asked "Anyone know of which portal to take? Is there any possible way that someone can be held on this side, while they look in through one of the portals? Or will we be forced to split up?" She scrutinized their surroundings. "Or mayhap this is another ruse, along with the man and woman, and there is another, correct path to follow?"
OOC- Nah, uss, your character is fine. ^_^ I think he has a very interesting personality.
