Azure

Now within clear view of the travellors, Azure courtesly stopped and put her hands out in a gesture of meaning "friend" and "I hold no weapon". When the advancing party took notice of her, she spoke aloud,

"Hello! And well met! I hope you remember me? It is I, Azure, friend of Jaime from the town that you departed from weeks ago. I come to bring thee tidings of good and ill."

She stopped speaking and her smile faltered.

"Whe...where is Jaime? Was he not travelling with your group"?

She watches the young girl intently for a moment, then shakes her head, and leans on her staff, listening to the conversation.....Off in the distance a lone wolf howls, and she turns her head towards the sound, listening. Her eyes glow brightly for a few seconds, then dim, and she reaches up, pulling the hood of her cloak forward over her face, leaning on her staff.

Rrang

Hearing his brother's cry, his head turned upwards, looking at the sky above. As the final sounds died out, he answered, knowing his reply would carry farther if he stared up.
After they had exchanged a series of longstretched howls, the ranger shook his head, then looked around to see confusion, frowns and, in one case, amusion expressed on the others' faces. He shook his head again, then moved off to a darker patch of shade, pretending nothing had happened.

Nothing had, really. All was well with his family, and the shadows were no longer in the area. This night, the pack had run down a number of fat rabbits. There had been the occasional traveler. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Sensing the others would not let him get away so easily, he offered a 'Family well.' to them, before turning his attention to an itchy spot behind his ear.

As she leans on her staff, the back of her cloak moves slightly revealing the tip of a silver wolf's tail, unseen by the group except for Rrang, and then it disappears
She shifts slightly on her staff, rubbing her gloved hands up and down the length, a slight glow forming around the two runes on her forehead, and she shifts the hood of her cloak further forward.....

Dalben

He groans inwardly, berating silently the influx of aliens ~ We'll surely draw attention to ourselves this way... ~ A quick glance at Azure reveals she is less of a threat, perhaps, than the druid ~ "Well met again, Azure." ~ His calm voice betraying none of the restlessness that disturbs him ~ "I see that we have a rather... fine... group here." ~ Gestures towards Galadria, Blandamour, Delita, Sorsha, Azure, the druid and himself.

Suddenly stiffening, he turns to the druid ~ "I don't believe you've told us your name yet." ~ All eyes now turn to the latter once again.

His eyebrows knit for a moment, then he gives a reluctant chuckle ~ "I believe you're right... I'm getting old... too old..." ~ Bows before KayLisa ~ "I beg your pardon, ma'am. The events of these few weeks far outnumber those of the past. I have grown wary... not to mention, a little senile." ~ Smirking self-deprecatingly, he addresses the group again.

"May I make a suggestion, friends? Our group is far too large for comfort. I propose that we escort Sorsha to the nearest temple, and then I will break free from this group... for the moment." ~ Exhaling deeply ~ "You will do as you wish, and perhaps we shall meet again. What say you?"

Anger was being fed from a fear that began to grow inside Azure's heart. A little moer desperate and loud than she should have spoken, she thus asked,

"My question will not be ignored. Where is Jaime? Has he left your group on ill terms to stray alone? Tell me!"

She hoped that was all that was the matter. In that case, she could easily catch up to him in a day or so.

She sneaks her way toward Azure, her blue eyes reflecting deep sorrow ~ "I... I'm sorry, Azure." ~ Her voice breaking ~ "Jaime is..." ~ Closes her eyes ~ "...dead." ~ Two drops of tears squeeze themselves from the slits, rolling down the sides of her cheeks. ~ "He d..died, protecting us."
