OOC>> Larry, I just PMed you.
IC>>> Suddenly, the ship rocks to one side, hurling Mistral forward. She staggers ahead, trying to regain balance as the ship continues to fling its contents randomly from side to side. Reaching out with both hands, she secures herself by pressing her palms on both sides of the walls of the corridor. Her wobbly feet attempt to advance towards the steps leading up to the deck... |

The elbony man looked into the dark clouds that sweeping cross the horizon. "Lower the sails " The man said, putting away his spy glass. A dry voice started behind him "Hitting them not, we are?" The speaker is almost transparent, making himself invisible.
"The storm will hit them tonight. I'll not risk my crew." The elbony man responded shortly. "But the signal..." Raising a hand to interrupt the voice, the elbony man said "They will survive... they will..." IC: The storm approached rapidly, rocking the boat violently. The broken vessle struggled futily against nature's rage. Carlos stumbled backwards and hit the wall hard, then fell on the deck. Shaking away the blurry vision, he made an attempt to stand up. "Oh Helm" Carlos muttered. He grabbed (something... gee, my vocabulary) and pulled himself up forcefully. He saw a topless figure struggling against the waging storm, it is his brother Larry. "Well, taking a shower?" Carlos yelled against the wind, not sure if the ranger had heard him. One step at a time, he inched towards Larry. |

OOC>>>Careful! My rippling muscles have been known to make even men drool! I love this game thread! I have never RP'ed a ship storm before!
IC>>>The storm had picked up rather fiercly now, and Larry became airborne, still holding onto the rope that held the mast down. Winds were buffeting the ship, and most of the brave crew had been washed overboard, never to be seen again. Finally dropping back to the deck, Larry looked up and saw his new brother inching his way toward him to lend aid. That was all Larry could see. He heard nothing over the roar of the wind and rain assailing them. He neither saw anyone except for the paladin. Larry knew not if the entire crew had been buried into a watery grave. |

One step... then another... and another... and so, she reaches the flight of steps, feeling her body flung from one side to the other, her hands grasping the rails determinedly for support.
As her head emerges from the opening, the torrent of rain pounds her face and she takes an involuntary step backward. Gritting her teeth, she presses onward, undaunted by the obstacle. Feeling her drenched robes cling to her figure tightly, she makes an attempt to block the sprays of water from assaulting her, then realises how ludicrous she must appear. The shrieking seas, the roar of the thunder, the blinding flashes of light across the black canopy above... they fill her with exhilaration, yet terror. Savouring this moment when she can release her pent-up emotions, she opens her mouth, howling ~ "HARGHHHH.... AAOOOOGGG....HUEGHHH..." ~ in the full knowledge that this time, the gods above and below hold greater power. Distracting her companions from herself. She moves ahead now, trying hard to see beyond those blasted waters. Some distance away, she barely makes out two figures. They appear to be tugging at a thick rope of some sort... |

Larry signaled the paladin to look back. "Good eye, elf" Carlis muttered a thankful words to Larry as he spotted the mute woman, terrified and soaked. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT HERE?!" Carlos shouted on top of his throat, holding tightly, fighting back the wind's strong push.
Apparently, the woman didn't hear him, but she saw him. Carlos barely heard the sound came out from her. Looking around, he spotted a strong rope laying on the deck, it is used for helding the ship once it is in deck. "Maybe I can use this later." Crouching low while balancing himself on the deck, he grabbed the rope, and tied it around his waist. He let go the hold on the edge, and bent low and broke int a run towards Mistral, all the while extend the rope around his hand. In the mid way, he slipped and fell, but the rope around his arm gave a strong support so he could find balance quickly. Quikly, he reached Mistral. "What are you doing here?" Carlos shouted loudly. "Go back to your room!" One hand held Mistral, he pulled the woman close, both crouched low on deck, dodging the merciless wind |

The malicious wind wails eeriely, blowing down their backs with glee. She trembles involuntarily, so cold is this enemy. In defiance, she glares at the opaque sky, screaming incoherently again.
As the rain continues to hurtle itself on every object in its path, she flings a clump of damp hair aside, trying to break free from the man's hold. ~ "Augh... augh...egh..." ~ She points towards the fluttering sails whipping the swaying masts, her eyes glittering. Her hands reach out, trying to grasp a rope to steady their erratic beating. On and on the ship rocks, sending them stumbling on their feet. With a death grip, she hangs on for dear life, determined to preserve every moment of it. |

"Got it!" Carlos yelled as loud as he could beside the woman's ear, impressed by her courage and determination. "Back to your room, ma'am!"
The ship rocked violently, nearly thrown both off feet. One hand stretched the rope, the other help Mistral to find some balance, Carlos tried hard to stay on his feet. Waves roared and lifted the tiny vessle on its tip, then threw it right back down. Crashing into the sea, the ship made a noisey protest. It was followed by tremendous ocean water raining down on top of the pair. Shaking his head furiously to clean his vision, the paladin cursed. Sweat and water covered his face, blurred his vision. The night is dark, only with help from the occasional lightings that he could see the ghastly form of the sails atop. Spat the water, he managed to untie the rope around his waist. "Pardon me" With a quick apology, he tied the rope around the woman's waist, and handed the left-over part for her to hold. "Help yourself back to the room!" He once again yelled, hoping the woman would comprehend. No time to hear an arguing, Carlos started for the masts. He could only hope that Mistral could choose the best for herself. He seriously poundered the question "where is the be-cursed captain and his crew? and can Larry do something beside showing off his less-than-mine muscle?" |

For a moment, she stands hesitantly, eyeing the situation and holding on to the rope Carlos has handed her. Her lashes flutter, and she appears deep in thought...
The sudden tilt of the ship sends her flying in mid-air with her arms swinging outstretched, trying to cling onto any sturdy object. Her body strikes against the side of the ship, but fortunately her head is unharmed. Crouching at the side, she winces, feeling her aching arms and legs. Yet not once does she glance to examine the bruises; it is too dark and nothing can be done about them, in any case. She glances up once. Chaos is everywhere. To reach the cabin would be impossible, with all the random movements of the ship. With renewed spirit, she pushes herself off the floor, nevertheless grimacing from the smarts. Feeling her knees wobbling once more, she closes her eyes for just a moment, breathing in deeply... As the ship takes a deep dive towards the other side, she now follows its motion, allowing gravity to pull her. She runs towards the masts and grabs a swinging rope. Channelling all her energies towards yanking it now, her jaws are firmly set. The rope becomes taut, even as she feels the skin on her palms tearing. |
