Well I started playing again - and after furiously killing any spider, I got no silk. I have given up my quest for the silk and the staff... yeesh! I am now moving on to the Sea Caves... and man, what a nightmare... I hate fighting casters... especially if they're psionics... not much defense against their mental spells. [img]smile.gif[/img] Just charge at them and hack and slash them to pieces (the only good thing - they have lower hit points) - but MAN do those froggy legs reach far. [img]smile.gif[/img]

And interesting note - RS-81 does not need scuba gear. LOL When I charged underwater (and watched my party drown, knowing this would happen), and at the first fight, RS said, "RS-81 initiating Self Destruct Mode." [img]smile.gif[/img] I was on the floor laughing. [img]smile.gif[/img]

He also has the best laugh when Insanity hits him...

My lonely party (untouched for about two weeks now) was last seen heading for Bayjin themselves...in games with saved names like (*&#% Fairy!, I Don't Want To Be A Fairy Ninja!, and "Where's That ^$@$# SILK!!!

hehehe mine usually have curse names at the fact that they can cast and do so QUITE frequently (i.e., "dung another squad of @&*#@ braij...") [img]smile.gif[/img]

Well I am now at the Umpani... pretty funny, because I picked up Saxx - and every fight, just about, he goes up a level - because the game detects how high my party is (between levels 18-20) and throws big mobs at me. So I get like 80,000 to 150,000 per fight - and poor Saxx, who is level 9 is just so amazed that he's flying through levels so incredibly fast!

He cracks me up, love his voice - very cool, very fitting with the name.

But - with the spiders in the Umpani caves - can you believe, I have yet to get a spider silk? Even after letting spiders shoot webs at me, to see if that'd do it - even after killing them with Nuclear Blast in one hit (so they don't 'waste' their silk) - still not a silk has dropped. [img]smile.gif[/img] Talk about insanity.

But I still have _alot_ of exploring to do in that cave - and many more laughs of Saxx saying stuff like, "Well, well, well - look at me! I'm getting better at this thing!"

So here's one to spider silks!

Give it to me or die!

Well, I finally got my spider silk in this (my third) game and then had trouble getting a venom crab shell but I FINALLY had my hot little hands on all three items needed for the Zynaryx Plate for my Faerie Bishop. I was so eager to get it that rather than running around Arnika or playing in the middle of the Arnika-Trynton Road hoping for fights while waiting for Antone to finish the armor that I slept in his forge.

After what seemed like forever, he finally said it was ready and I immediately offered to buy it from him and present it to my faerie.

My question is: Why didn't someone who got the armor before ever think to mention how truly UGLY this armor is? My faerie may have a decent AC now but she's quite upset at being seen in this nasty-looking breastplate. Ick!

OTOH, it only weighs 2 lbs and gives her +6 on her AC which raises her up 3 pts on her overall AC so I guess I should tell her to quit her carping.

But I can tell you that I agree with her and am just glad I don't have to look at her in it. I feel sorry for the monsters though....

i have a room in arnika full of all that junk.
venom shells. silk,wings.. etc..
the only thing i couldnt find is a piccus egg.
but i finally found one in the rapax zoo.
damn trynton piccus never dropped jackk
but the group of 5 rapax piccus left 5 eggs.
maybe they make more piccus love up there at the rift.

now i got to ferro and i seem to already have almost all his items.
but i still need a hogars tusk
anyone no where to find some good hogars
i killed a bunch in trynton earlier.

Yep, you need the big ones (Brute hogars? Battering? Which are the bigger?) Try the SE Wilderness.

i've always gotten silk from giant spiders in lower monastary. I also get nice things from metalic slimes there, i just have to deliver big damage on the killing blow. It's just too bad a Fairy Ninja can't use Zanaryx.

Don't worry,he is still alive..his great weapon's shop is just a rip off and unless yu need that special weapon/armour..don't worry about it.
This great game is not one to be rushed,my fault as i like to explore every nook and cranny,but after all the time and effort in solving the task's offered..that great armour is some what disappointing?

hmmmm..i have over 180,000 in gold..and i,m starting to wonder were and were i should spend it?
