Dragons exist but it our are compation that makes them giant lizards. The japanesse (or was it Chinaesse) dargon was a creature of fire that flew across ths sky ie coments. and their belif made it in to a dragon but a real dragon is never seen because it is so alien to us our minds block it out but the old days they were in existance because we belive in them and the existened and their bodys are not found because the gases that make the fire dissovle the body after death. so in conclusion they do exist but on a to phase a insane mage they walk between, above, bleow and through us.

So you claem we choose to ignore them right?
with magic i can believe that
but with dragons?
I though dragons where as differend as humans were some good some evil
if they would excist
the evil ones would surely want to rule us right?

But if they are physical
they can do physical damage
that cannot be ignored

Hi Guys
Fighter are much better then mages at low levels, but as soon as a mage gets high levels spells the balance changes. At really high levels the mage whips fighters butts. one thing to remember is that to attain the levels attainable in AD&D would take years ie most of ones life. take elminster and drizzt as examples.

my opinion is that there are to many magical weapons, i think there should be different levels of normal weapons like in IWD but more levels. in the game there is a +3 weapon in every type, this seems like a over kill.

just some ideas to ponder

hmm... i should agree that there are so many magical artifacts already in the game...

it would be so cool if its rare item you have found and your the only one who gets to find it... something like Everquest... has anybody played that game?... its a way cool game since you go to a world that is full of other people... its so different in a way... the things you find there are yours... and yours alone... you get to level up but that will be very difficult and hard... there are many dungeons in the game and you get to meet different people inside a tavern and join quest together with them and do somehting good or bad... the only prob is ...its way so irritating that you have to pay to enter thier world of magic... thats why i havent gotten to play it yet... i have to pay.. ack!! (im only 17)

Let's look at fortune tellers. Any nob could write a star-sign guide. Read one believing yourself to be an aquarius and it'll apply to you. Read one believe yourself to be Boneheadtaurus and it'll apply to you. If those guys could REALLY tell the future, why don't they put bets on Sporting achievements and make a killing instead of sitting in a cramped little shop.

Even say that modern witchcraft/wicca actually works, it's nothing like what happens in BG2. Who summons Ogres or Flints to hack people to death? Who runs around at double speed?
Unless modern day alchemists are those who create performance enhancing drugs it's entirely unbelievable.

Here's a funny story. I had a mate who had some friends who were into the 'Power' of a spirit because unseen it could open a door or turn off a light. And his response was: Big deal, even I can open a door or turn off a light!

(Seriously though this point of mine has nothing to do with whether it exists in the real world or not, that's actually a very delicate and serious subject and if not for the sake of humor I would not have brought it up.)

My point is magic should be BANNED FROM BG2 yeah!

(Mages)

(Druids)

(Clerics)

(any other candy-arsed loser that can't rely on their own power to fight their battles and need a magic 'crutch')
