Ok. This is easy to the point of absurtity.
Thank the gods for the Helmet of Brilliance... I leveled up *twice* in those catacombs. I didn't ask for the paladins' help, only Drizzt and the thieves... And not even Drizzt and Arkanis were present for the showdown with Bodhi. I ran in and shut the door, because This Time It Was Personal. Hell, I didn't even use Simulacrum! I'm still waiting for a challenge. With Imoen's soul restored and Bodhi dead, I can wander about and complete sidequests (read: slay dragons and demiliches) without guilt. So HOPEFULLY the posts will get a bit more interesting. As it is now, I'm not going to bore you with "Sunray... Energy Blades. Everyone died but Faldorn. Again." -Faldorn the Demigoddess

Hmm, you've inspired me to start my own thread in the BGI forum since I restarted BGI with BGITutu.

WOW.
Everyone, you should all take a moment to appreciate the Cheese Wedge of Balduran. I just fought three normal beholders and one gauth without its help. I was doing the Unseeing Eye quest, you see. I was armed with my Energy Blades. Do de doo... Ow, antimagic. OW, charm! Instant death! Reload. Summon Deva, Simulacrum. Energy Blades. Remove Fear. Do de doo, I'll hang back this time. They target me anyway! Ow! Reload. THIS time I had a slew of spells. I summoned a deva, a simulacrum, and the Elemental Prince of Fire. I cast Farsight so I could send them in, then stood near the edge of the area and cast Storm of Vengeance. I then hung back and tossed energy blades like there was no tomorrow. The moment I saw "Anti-Magic Ray: Faldorn" I *RAN*... I was dispelled, but safe from instadeath. My summons took care of the beholders. It was perhaps the most difficult battle yet. After that, the quest was cake. I went back to collect my reward and really wished I could mouth off to the Priest of Helm who was so snooty to me. But I imagine Faldorn did as well. ********** "You have done us a greater service than you could know. Oh, and by the way, now that you're favored and all you can help get a sculptor to work for us. This is a VERY important task." "You're joking. I did this out of concern for the Balance, not out of love for your god. And I am nearly a goddess myself. I should ask this Sarles to make a sculpture of *me*. Keep your gold, and keep your attitude." Now, let me see... I have two sets of golden bones. I detect a similar aura in the Docks District... We're getting closer! It's THIS door! In this house must be the skull. I must find it and destroy it. ::pulls at knob. It is locked.:: By the sacred oaths of Silvanus! ::pounds at the door:: Let me in, damn you! ::shapechanges into a fire elemental and begins beating down the door. It won't budge.:: I guess if not even I can open it, and I hold the other bones, the evil will remain sealed away. **********

**********
The priests of Helm shifted uneasily from foot to foot. What had become of Faldorn? Had she died before completing her duty? It had been several days since she entered the Keep last, and they had detected no change in the seals. Odren had one killer itch in his leg, and, in his plate mail, he couldn't reach it. Suddenly, a door opened! Several seconds went by before Faldorn, looking ragged, stomped up. She fixed Odren with a glare. "Did I tell you that you Helmites are by far the most pathetic bunch of people I've ever worked for? This Helm can't do anything by himself, can he?! He needs me to kill the big bad beholder, he needs me to take care of this STUPID Imprisoned One.... By the Sea of Swords, if something were to happen to me, your entire system of worship would collapse!" She glared at him for a while longer, tempting him. She knew he would love to attack her... but he was no fool. He knew that she could singlehandedly kill the lot of them. He also knew, in his smirky little brain, that Faldorn would get what was coming to her very soon... ********** Faldorn started clearing out Watcher's Keep. The only difficult part so far was the portal maze... She ended up having to flee from many of the battles. She sided with the devils, slew the demon lord and most of the demons, and fled, too weak to finish them all off. They're still in there, somewhere. Perhaps they'll kill each other of. Why am I tackling WK now instead of later? Simple. My most recent save file is in the Githyanki camp. Right in front of the dragon chamber. SoTR, here I come!

Saladrex was a joke.
He really was. A deva to counteract the fear, a simulacrum who could cast Energy Blades, and me, hurling 'em like there was no tomorrow. It was a glorious battle... Well, no. It was a slaughter. It was over in minutes. ********** Faldorn sank into meditation, resting before the battle to come. She opened her eyes and prepared herself. She opened the first seal and a host of demonic creatures emerged. They stripped her of the magic that protected her, and though she fought courageously, there were too many. Too many! She screamed in horror as they surrounded her and tore her limb from... AHH! There she was. It was a dream, perhaps a vision. Maybe she shouldn't open the seal just yet. Instead she headed over to help that girl from the Copper Coronet. She wondered what would cause trolls to invade a keep like that. And that WOMAN, that woman... Lady Delcia? These mortals were all the same to her. She was a disruption to the Balance, to be sure... Someone who so callously followed Law without concern for humanity was certainly a negative influence... and she had the nerve to mouth off to Faldorn. No matter. Faldorn cleared the keep and sent Nalia on her little way to the Copper Coronet, listening to Nalia's aunt harp away... "You should expect no reward than what you've stolen from my home... Look at me when I address you, peasant! What is so fascinating in the sky? And now you're muttering to yourself? Madness is certainly prevalent in the dirtier classes. Perhaps someone shouldaaaaAIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" Faldorn glanced down at the charred and smoking lump that was once the Lady Delcia. A pity she had been struck by that freakish bolt of lightning. It was such a beautiful, clear day, too. Who would have expected such a thing? Oh well. Time to head over to the Windspear Hills and give the dryad queen those acorns.

A Deva couldn't kill her? I'd see it as a service from the Gods!!!
