Just an update: for those who recall, my brother and his wife (primarily his wife) are expecting their first child, due date is within the next week. Fortunately he was just promoted to Framing Dept. Manager at his local Michael's. The extra income will help immensely, but he's stuck with cleaning up the former manager's mess.

Also this past weekend my church's parking team had their first (hopefully annual) picnic. It was pretty fun. Aside from my messing up my knee while playing frisbee. I was in some really soft sand and as I was getting up from a low throw it felt like my kneecap slipped out of place. I pushed it back into place and some friends helped me back to the pavillion. So from late Saturday through Sunday my knee looked like a grapefruit. Swelling is down a lot now, but I'm still not comfortable putting full weight on it.

It sounds like you did not bother to get an X-ray, or have it looked at, at all?

nope, I figured they'd tell me what I already knew. Keep it wrapped in a pressure bandage, keep it elevated, stay off it, take some asprin for the swelling. And they'd probaby try to prescribe some expensive anti-inflamatory steroid or something.

That's the downside of not having medicare. I'd go for an X-ray, just to be sure, since it's free anyway.

Have some of the elders of the church pray over you, if you have not already.

X-rays here in the states aren't free. At least not in any clinic/hospital I know about.

Sorry, I typed that funny. I mean, I would go, because it's free, here in Canada.

Been having some awesome weather this past week, lows around 67F, highs just shy of 78F.

Flexibility in my knee is vastly improved, but I still can't straighten it out completely yet. Can't wait till it's closer to 100%, crutches make ones palms sore.

My future niece could be born at any moment now, literally.

So what's news with everyone else?

I'm having a crappy/dreadful week. I've been tired all week. And it sounds like many around here, feel the same way.

Don't hold back now, tell us how you really feel, variol.

Somebody get this man some M&M's I think he may need them. Not sure if he's a drinking man, but he may need a pint or three as well. None for me, but a Pepsi will be nice.
