::minutes later, TAOQ comes back::
AZE: well?
TAOQ: Lord Barrenhawk informs me that there's a charge for placing your gold in the bank and there's a service charge also.
AZE: WHAT? that son of a Boogre! that shouldn't happen until 500 years later!
TAOQ: ::shrugs:: well he said he had to get ahead of the times...
::AZE snarls::
AZE: from now on, we will not put our gold in the bank EVER! ::mutters:: the mayor must be taking lessons from the ratlings.....

then how come we are in the harber when the boat is at the Castle
well I was looking for a crab and went to far

well I guess we had better start walking back to the boat

DAEGEN: (Paladin, atop the wall at Shurugeon Castle) Okay, Tamerin, there's the Sleeping Sentinel. I'll take him out with some well-placed "Dispels" and then you can sneak over and pull the drawbridge lever."

(casts a "Dispel Undead", explodes and awakes the spectral sentry, who howls with indignation)

TAMERIN: "Okay, great! A few more shots of that and...OW!!

(three Swampflies have flown up from below the wall and are now stinging our ranger's ankles)

JEROBOA: (leaping), "I'll get 'um!" (casts a Flamedrop on the bugs in midair)

DAEGEN: "If you guys will stop fooling around, I'll just cast another..."

(a pack of worgurs comes running ALONG THE TOP OF THE WALL, growling and snapping)

SANJAY: "This is out of body, out of mind! I will blast them with my Pain spell!"

DAEGEN: "KEEP STILL! How can I blast this sentry with all this racket..."

(From the bailey below) "Drop yer weapons! Yer outnumbered! Taste the blade!"

The sentry barrels a "Face of Death" spell at the party which fizzles, and howls.

DAEGEN: (to the sentry): "Shut up, you! The rest of you just wait your cotton-pickin' turns! Geehola, what the heck IS this?"

(From the outside side of the wall): "Me Nicks and Stones!" "Die n' Die, hairless!")

DAEGEN: "AAAAUUUUUUGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!" (pitches a rusted sword on the wall in fury and begins jumping up and down on it...

(Just so you'll know...everything got taken care of; the swampflies, worgurs, Highland Raiders, and Ratlings, AND the sentry, Tamerin became a Ninja, and that's what happens, kids, when you play a game at "Spawn Frequent!")

Heh, well, the topper to all that was (and this all happened LAST NIGHT), after killing the Sentry, the Worgurs, the Swampflies, the Raiders, AND the ratlings, the idiots fell off the wall!!

Thank goodness they chose to tumble into the bailey, or you would have HEARD some fine cussing!
