Hey all you birdwatchers! I have dozens of ROBINS in the yard! Spring is most assuredly nearby when that happens! I planted trees and shrubs with berries to attract the birds. So far I know the robbins adore the Hawthorn berries this time of year. The Cardinals come to that tree too! LOVE the male cardinal's coloring. Gorgeous red, for those who don't know of NorthAmerican Cardinals.
We have purple finches too. CUTE little songbirds...they love the Serviceberries! (that tree and similar shrubs are very attractive to the birds, the Killdeer fight all the others for them!) Cloudy |

Thanks for doing the questionaire, btw! Rummage around on some of the back pages of this forum and you'll find other such things...I think Melusine had a getting to know each other post not long ago...and somewhere here and in BG2 is the divided Icebreaker thread I set up before moving to this board from our old one. A search might turn them up (search function, not physically looking...you'd be retired long before you'd find it all!) Cloudy |

Just a thoughtless poem about birds-
I saw a birdy in a tree He looked so pretty from there to me I lured him down with a piece of bread Then I crushed his little head Ok, before I'm castigated too much I like birds! I just had to be a smartass |

LoA - that is SO HORRID that I can't even quote it. You made me cry. I'm glad you put that you didn't mean it, or I would have to come over and sort you out.
Ramon - ducks are one of the best birds. I love when they make tiny little quacking noises when they think you may have food for them But IMHO Penguins are the absolute ultimate bird. They are so funny, when I see them I always laugh! ------------------ Time is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so. Epona of The Laughing Hyenas. |

Epona, here in Germany we have a cartoonist, named Uli Stein, whose cartoon's chief protagonists are mice, cats and penguins. He started out with the mice and the cats, classic constellation, later on he added the penguins who, over time, have become the true superstars - you and I know why . His books are very funny and tremendously successful. Unfortunately, I doubt that there are English translations. His cartoons are also very popular as postcards. LW, Zeeke, thanks ! Good night ! ------------------ So long ! R³ - Co-president(s) of the Club of Broken Hearts |
