so ... I'm back again. The last month has been one of pure pain, a trapped nerve or two in my neck and shoulder has prevented me from typing or using the internet for more than a moment or two. Never knew how much i used my computer until this month. I guess it has been like giving up cigarettes with a pack of them staring at you.

even now after typing this my pain is coming back..... gggrrrrrrr

Yeowch! Sorry to hear that, Wellard! Hopefully it's on the mend, although it doesn't seem like it

Have you thought about some of the different style keyboards? There are different layouts that are supposed to be more friendly... like this, this, or this.

Here's hoping you're feeling better soon...

And worse, I guess you're not out on the bike on those immense Aussie roads getting ready for the late summer nights. Bummer! Get well soon.

Get out to a chiropractor if you have done so already wellard. Both my wife and I are living better because of it.

Thanks for the thoughts guys

good advice there, and yes UV the worst thing is not being able to ride my bike for more than a few kilometers without the pain. Sleeping is also weird, all my life i have been a side sleeper and now with the help of many pillows i have to sleep on my back, and any more than a couple of hours sleep is a blessing.

Wellard,
I have one of these. It is actually my second one.

I variolly recommend it!

Your locally chiropractor or health/pharmapseudical store may carry it as well'ard.

There's nothing punny about back pain.

They guarantee them, so you can try it for a few weeks even. It's great for side sleepers, or if you turn on your back.

I use a large and I'm average build.

Thx Dragonshadow and Variol

It is amazing the number of people who also suffer from trapped nerves (actually mine is caught on a spur they think, judging from the CT scans) when I started to whinge about my problem every other person seemed to have at least one similar story. It was the first time in my life I felt old, mortal, and a glimpse of living the second half of my life in shadow of old aged problems rather than the constant sunshine of youth (yes I have been depressed and the drugs make it worse) I have to book an MRI scan for later this month.

Hey Monis ... as for Johnny I have not seen him for a while. I have been meaning to talk soccer with him .... he could be hiding from me in shame
