ahhh modesty is for the weak! is one of the many mottos i live by. if you did something to warrant pride, puff it up 10 times greater than it is to make it seem even more substantial than it is! show arrogance in your work, its never steered me wrong! it has, of course, landed me in a few situations and gotten a few death threats on me... but other than that, arrogance is great cuz ppl cant call your bluffs!

Conan...
Sorry to hear of your loss. Time will make it better though. Been there, it does honest.
Kiwidoc...
Your song is lovely. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to respond yesterday. Have you ever heard Loreena McKennitt? Or perhaps the Celtic Twilight series from Hearts of Space. If you haven't I would suggest you try them. They are soooo very beautiful. Celtic Twilight has a version of "Skye Boat Song" that, I think, Is the most heart wrenching melody I have ever heard. There are something like 5 CD's in the Celtic Twilight series. It came about after the radio program was such a hit. http://www.hos.com/ Life would be so popintless without music.

hope your feelin better soon ol' son. Take Heart. My oldest son has Chronic Migraines. Looses his vision and gets numb in the hands. Though I don't know the pain I do understand how disruptive it can be to your life.
Comic books huh? which ones? I used to collect, until they got soo greedy.
Moni...
A BIG Hug perhaps.. but your right the time things works wonders doesn't it. Though after 22 years I can still feel it. It is less now.
Cloudy...
Thanks for the Cafe hun...

Wulfere thank you for the compliment. I hav esome Loreena McKinnett on a Celtic Women CD, but no whole CDS of her. I tend to collect music by people I have heard live and people I have met, played and sung with.

Have you seen Xena? If you had you will have heard Davey Spillane on the Irish pipes - he did the music with a few kiwi musos. His music is mind blowingly wonderful. I was lucky enough to hear him play before he got famous. I sat next to him in the pub and sang with him

Yes I have seen Xena, can't say I enjoyed the shows terribly but they did have some nice music. I can't say that I have heard of Davey Spillane either. I may have to look for his stuff. I collect Celtic music CD's and have some friends who do as well I think I have heard the Cetlic Women CD or something like it.
Did you ever get a chance to see a TV show called Strange Luck? They played Loreena McKennitts music alot on that show.

Wulfere - Nope, never seen it. I am not sure it has reached the UK. I used to watch Xena to play "spot the location". It is all filmed round my old stomping grounds from my med school days. I am pretty positive the Finn brothers got in on that music as well - the lads from Split Enz and Crowded House.

I may get some of those Celtic Twighlight CDs with my birthday money. Thanks for telling me about them. I'll hold off putitng any more of my music on for a bit. Only got 3 mp3's on my site anyway

Yeah - spent 3 years in Timaru. I used to be able to see Mt Cook from the operating theatre window

Not a bad little town, and I got to know the Timaru to Christchurch road really well. I wont admit how long it used to take me - BAD kiwidoc

OOOOOh! Definitely get McKennitt's Mask and the Mirror, and I like Elemental (more traditional). Just got The Visit (wonderful!)

Anyway, do try them!
