Tis good to hear you gave up those foul, stressful numbers. Leonis.
But, Lionhearted One, practicing for what? Hmmmm...were you fishing for Clouds, oh regent of the Pride? I thought 'twas bears that caught fishies in the streams...do lions cast for Cloudlets in the skies, then?

Twould be best to count Clouds rather those numbers, King of the Jungle! Clouds are fare more amiable than numbers ever could be.

HI Scronan!
(giggle) I'm so happy that my post got some response! It was right neighbourly of Memny to invite Sazerac over here and I figured I'd just tell you all to check it out.

Tis good to meet you! I mostly hang out here and in BG2 and the book forum. Lately I've peeked in the IWD zone. See you around! Check out the Questions thread by ladyZekke...answer them for us! We love to get to know each other better and those sorts of things are fun.

Woo hoo!

Hi folks..sorry, I'm still buzzing from seeing the northern lights. It was such a trip to see the sky a bright cherry red...and the funny part was that my friend who is from a strict religion thought it was armeggedon! But it was the first time I'd seen them, cool!

Saz, thanks for the kudos....you're making me blush.

Cloudbringer, let me answer your questions:

(So do you play BG2 or IWD? Bahamut is a regular of the General Discussions and BG2 forums, possibly others, but that's where I know him from. Great guy! And LadyZekke has that er...quaint and scantily clad martial artist doing some amazing feats of flexibility..heehee..in her sig, yes. )

I was given BG1 for Xmas...I played through more than half of it then stopped playing, a good game, but those TSR rules are so anal...I get bored with them real easy. My background in RPG's started more like this:

1. Dungeons of Daggorath - If you have heard of this game, you are a bigger nerd than me. It came out in 1982 for the Tandy Color Computer, and it is, in my humble opinion, the best RPG ever. Period. It predates all others, save Wiz 1...I mean it had monsters in 3d and real time...and this was 20 YEARS AGO! Get it, play it!

2. Bards Tale, Wizardy Series - Played quite a few of these, a few Ultima titles, eye of the beholder. I do like the Bard Tale, Wizardry type games. Tried to play Might and Magic 2...just wasnt my cup of tea, nor is that series. Sorry MM fans!

Hmm, I actually started playing video games in 1978 when my father bought "Pong"...so I've been playing them since they were released for public use..and spent many days (and many quarters) in arcades growing up.

As mentioned, I do love Street Fighter games, and that scantily dressed female is Mai from the Fatal Fury series, but also in Capcom vs Snk. Ladyzekke, do you play? You will be my new best friend if you do!

Well...thats all for now. Hope everyone is doing well....and sorry if I missed anyone posts...they must be a million messages here!

best

Scronan,

LOL...you are wound up a bit! Pretty cool that you saw the lights, though!
Ahh, if you've only tried BG1, you haven't tried the best! The rules were changed a bit for IWD and again for BG2. Still D&D...but I'm a D&D newbie so it wasn't a problem for me. BG2 is AWESOME, no doubt about it. I'm playing single and multi-player versions. There are so many possible quests and variations that when we discuss the game,we frequently find that even with a same quests things go a bit differently for each of us! It's re-play value is immense.

As for LadyZekke's sig...I'm afraid she didn't know where it was from til somebody told her, so I doubt she plays your game! She's moving to a new house just now, but will be back, next week, we hope.

Since there seems to be a nostalgia wave flying around Ironworks right now, I thought I'd dig up my "first post" here at General Discussions and throw it topside.

This was a rather hilarious thing, in that Memnoch had visited my forum, the Wizardry 8 board, back in March 2001, and invited me over to General Discussions (which was a LOT smaller memberwise but a LOT more in posting frenzys back then). So I trotted over, posted what I did, then went back to Wizardry 8 and Wizards & Warriors, and kind of forgot about it. I figured, you see, that I'd be ignored since no one knew who I was.

Boy was I mistaken! A few days later Cloudy storms through Wizards & Warriors and Wizardry 8, hunting my happy arse down, saying "You've got a thread with over 50 posts in it here, come back and contribute to it!!!" Com-PLETELY blew me away. So I came back in, and pretty much stayed after that, and the rest is history.

So NOW you know who to blame...Memnoch, for getting me here in the first place, and Cloudy for pulling me BACK in!

There you have it...a small portion of Ironworks history.

Cheers,
-Sazerac

Wow!

That was cool. Way before I was here.

You may not remember this, Saz, but you were the first person to ever talk to me here, in one of Cloudy's Inn threads...
She was ignoring me, of course...

Hello kind travelers!

The other day, Memnoch visited one of the boards I frequent and kindly invited me to check out "General Discussions". I am impressed with the talent and insight present here.

I am "Sazerac", and am the moderator of the newly-created Wizardry 8 board (which is slow right now, but hopefully will be picking up speed once the game is released). However, most of my time here is spent on the Wizards and Warriors board, where I provide a lot of online help for others.

I've been gaming since the early 80's, both table-top and CRPG, and have frequented the Internet since about 1995 on a regular basis. I must say that I am very favorably impressed with all the Ironworks forums that I have been on, for the maturity of responses and the comradeship they offer. Very few forums on the 'net are as friendly, I daresay.

I've enjoyed reading the storylines; as I said before, much wonderful talent here! I will definitely be stopping back by from time to time, and may be able to contribute a little as well.

Anyway, I just wanted to say "hello" to everyone and introduce myself. Hopefully I will becoming more familiar with you all.

Warm regards,
Sazerac
Welcome sazerac! Hope you enjoy your stay!

LOL!

That was the "Moon's Hope Inn", Rudy, which was LadyRae's concoction, not Cloudy's. And yes, I remember that first time I talked with you...it was in early April 2001, right before IW went down for "The Great Crash" before we moved to "NotQuiteReadyHosting.com"

Those were the days!
