~She nods.~ "All right then, now that you don't need a bucket, what's the plan? We should probably let the others know I found you." ~She grins.~

Maverick Shadowfall

~The assassin's mind recalls its days of training. Instinctively his breathing aligns with hers and he makes no effort to move. What the hell am I doing? I'm watching the girl, not killing her! He curses under his breath as his boomerang dagger drops from his cloak, rolling into plain sight of Kaz. He prays she dosen't notice as his invisable hand reaches for the blade.~

(ooc: Kaz, now you can lean over to pick up the dagger and bump heads with him. )

"Hmm... lets start looking for them." Makeing it outside he looks over at Chani"Where first?"

Straining her eyes to look at the spot, Kaz sees a dagger fall to the ground. It is still warm from someone's body heat...
"This is too much," she says aloud. "Who are you? Show yourself!" She wracks her mind for some useful spell...

~She shrugs her shoulders.~ "I haven't the faintest idea." ~She looks around helplessly at the city. She then looks up at him and grins.~ "Perhaps we could just wander aimlessly?"

Maverick Shadowfall

~He curses himself again. Now what do I do?! He tries to think of something clever, but his mind was blank. He remembers that she still can't see him. He nods his head and silently creeps past, leaving the dagger for her to gawk at. He circles her like a wolf to a deer, though he's still invisable.~ "Just a passerby..." ~His medolic voice is near in-audible in the quiet morning air.~

Kaz looks around, yet the unknown visitor has not appeared. She shivers, but tries not to let her fear show. Let me see... Chaos? no. It would have to be an area effect spell... what do I have memorized?

~He picks up on her shiver. Smirking, he whispers in her ear as he walks by.~ "Afraid are we? Ahh, just be happy I don't rear my ugly head." ~He chuckles and continues walking his set circle.~

[Kaz]

All right, that's it, you have annoyed me long enough. She sighed, exasperated. "All right, come out, or else..." Kaz recalls the words of a fireball spell "...I'll roast us both?" she continues, holding her hands in casting position. She knows that the fireball will hurt, yet she has the ring of fire resistance on. It will hurt the unknown intruder much more. The moonlight glints off the burn on her right hand, which seems to glow...

~He picks up his boomerang dagger and places it safely within his cloak. He then speaks.~ "As the lady wishes." ~He chuckles.~ "I would not want to see you make such a mistake." ~He tosses her ring of fire resistance on the ground at her feet. Some time while circling her the theif had managed to take it from her numbing hand. Finally he unveils himself from the shadow, his black eyes staring down at her. The green scar across the wood-elf's face contorts to an odd shape as he smiles.~ "You... Aren't going to roast me now, are you?"

[Kaz]

Kaz lowers her hands. "No, I won't." Especially as there is no way I'll survive that without the ring, she adds. "Allow me to rephrase my question: who are you and why are you following me?" She picks up her ring from the ground, grinding her teeth.

~He nods his head.~ "Fair questions." ~He lowers the hood from his cloak, revealing his brown hair, and continues.~ "I would be Maverick, house of Shadowfall... From the village of Ravenwood nestled in the spine." ~He gives her a chaotic smile.~ "And I was following you for the sheer joy of it."
