Larry smiles warmly at Mistral, for he really liked this new attitude she had taken. One could simply see the happiness in her life radiate like the sun.

Larry takes a bit of the unidentified breakfast everyone had been eating and passed a piece tho the bird, in which she gobbled down hungrily

"Hey! She even likes my cooking! What a beauty she is, too! She was meant for you, Mistral.. She is a fine companion."

Larry pets the top of her head...

"I can almost imagine her purring to your petting, Larry..." ~ The pride in her voice is unmistakable ~ "... that is, if she were a feline." ~ she adds hurriedly as Isabeau stares at her with beady eyes. ~ "We'd better be careful with what we say." ~ Her eyes narrow in concentration for a moment. "Can you read what my mind is saying, Isabeau?" ~ She gazes dubiously at the hawk. ~

~In answer, Isabeau emits a haughty shriek as if deeply insulted, and takes off from the kitchen. Moments later, she returns, swopping down with a gleaming pebble and depositing it in Mistral's hand. She finally lands on the ground, with what seems like a restless expression on her face. ~

~"Larry, you're a ranger, aren't you? That means you have a great affinity to animals... won't you train her further for me?... That is... if you do not mind..." ~ she glances at him shyly. ~

"All you had to do was ask! Yet, this bird already seems that she is trained. She basically shows her own, stong will, and I do not know if she is in need of any...training."

Larry looks at her again, as if measuring her intelligence and wits...

"I can share with her whatever she wants to learn...that is the difference...if I only knew of her original owner...that may be more helpful. No matter, let us not worry about the past and focus our attentions to the future. What is everybody's plan...now that Meldrin is no longer a threat? Where are we destined to travel?"

~She casts a momentary glance at Kaz, who has remained silent all this while. ~ Well, one of these days, I'll have to ask her again what's troubling her...hopefully, she'll confide a bit more in me now that we're sworn sisters. ~

~ Aloud, she says ~ "I have no firm plans at the moment and will be happy to follow anyone who requires my company, especially Kaz." ~ her eyes rest tenderly on the little elf. She then addresses Larry ~

~ "What about you, Larry? What are your plans? Has killing Meldrin achieved your purpose of proving your worth to your father? And if not, what lies further ahead for you?" ~

ooc...I will be doing major house cleaning today, as we are going to have our home reappraised in order to refinance for a lower interest rate. It will save me $150/month!!! So I will be on and off of here all day and night...

"I helped with Meldrin, yes, but it is not what my father expects of me. I have my own journey ahead of me to become what my father meant me to be. I do not know how to begin this journey, nor what I must do in it. Yet, I do not know if I am ready to begin with my own travels yet.. Only time can tell. I must ponder more about my choices that I have before me. When the time comes...I will know. Until then, faith in the fact that I am doing what is right is the only thing that gets me up in the mornings..."
