I've not seen that in the game before, bakrus. You should be able to take it out.

If you can't, then you can try the patch, or you can try deleting the mini-save for the frost giant's castle and start it over. You may have better luck the next time.

Bummer about all the other games not working! Do you have the latest video and sound drivers?

Hey guys - couple of quick questions related to my slow moving MM7 game (haven't had much time play lately). Does time matter much? I've been wandering around cities, taking 5 day treks here and there, mainly after going to an area, getting pounded by foes, and having to run to the border to get away. One big benefit was finding a bunch of ore in Tatalia. At first I sold some (IDIOT) for gold, but then used the rest to make armor and weapons, and got some really good stuff! Is that the best way to find arms and armor? I haven't really found much good at the weapons stores as of yet, but have a couple of great maces now (for my Paladin and Cleric), a great spear (Cruel Spear, perhaps?), and great armor for everyone. Leather armor that boosts all stats by 10 (cleric got this), leather armor with a +20 armor rating (for my sorcerer), and +18 chain (archer). I already had splendid plate for my paladin from a chest in the sewers of Erathia, so I'm set on the armor front for now.

While I'm rambling, does anyone know which town has a blacksmith that teaches the spear skill? Since I have such a nice one in hand, I'd like to get my archer trained in it but haven't been able to find one.

well, here's the deal with time. the faster you finish the game, the less days it takes and the higher your score when you finish. and a lot of players try to play *speed* games... like finishing up within 6 months (i think that's the fastest for mm7 because of certain timed events). BUT, i'm a slowpoke and do everything however i like, because, i'm just the kind that likes to find everything, prefers resting to heal my team, and will wander back and forth from town to town just to play arcomage.

saving up ore to get weapons made is a great way to get some good stuff early!

i think you can get the spear skill in avlee, the tularean forest and maybe tatalia, but not in the city proper... might be the caverns? *sighs* my memory is getting so flaky.

good luck!

well bungleau.. my computer have all the latest drivers and have had the games installed on my pc many times before!!... but could it be that the drivers are too new for the game ..?.. no. not that either cause sacred requires newer video drivers.
i have a: pentium4 2,8Ghz radeon 9800pro 128mb videocard, 1Gb memory so thats not the problem... maybe my dvd-rom is not working right , cause i`ve experienced some times that my computer can`t find it, like it`s unplugged.. but all the wires are connected so i don`t really no whats going on...... so to find it i have restart my pc sometimes unthil it`s found again..

but i shall try to format my HD at the weekend.... so i shall not bother you guys with this problem anymore...

but i`m going to buy the new D&D game dragonshard which i saw in the stores last saturday, ifn`t that will function then my two and a half years old computer will not be able to run again.
just need to earn another 18000NOK to buy a new one....

actually bakrus, i bet it's your dvd drive. have you tried to update your dvd firmware? firmware are drivers that are made by the company that makes the drives. go to their site and they should have a download area where you can get them and then install them.

also, for my games, i play sacred, vampire the masquerade: bloodlines, dungeon siege 1 and 2 plus some really old games, too. and i've found that having the latest video drivers isn't always the best thing. my 9800XT is using drivers from mid-2004. i would recommend trying some different versions if the dvd update doesn't work.

remember if you do decide to reformat, to copy your game saves and any other stuff you value onto cds first. otherwise you'll be doing everything from scratch.

oh yeah, if all else fails, just get a new dvd drive. that's gotta be a LOT cheaper than a new pc. my pc is about equal to yours and it's still running great. (granted, i'ma pc slut, so i would LOVE to build a new PCI-Express version with everything maxxed out, but that's a ways down the road... and i'd keep this one as is since i can run all my fave old games quite well on it.)

i'm just saying, is all.

altho, i'm not sure why you want to overclock your chip. if this is your first o/c effort, please try it out with an old chip that you can afford to mess up first.
