Although you could get the same spoilerish hints from the link cyril posted about grimlocks, and I still have no idea what it's stats are, so I may be safe.

Grimlocks? Here you go.

Also, I'll get working on my character soon. Has been sort of busy the last few days.

Archery question... if a character were using a short-bow and fired it sideways, as one would on horseback, would the standard range penalties apply, since it wouldn't be relying nearly as much on the arc, and would fly more like a crossbow bolt (I realise there are some pretty big differences still), anyway I just got to thinking about mounted archers (gotta love the mongol hordes) and how they typically fired their recurved short-bows...

Worry, but I am saving 2 fairly powerfl offensive spells just in case we enconter something more terrifying than a grimlock army. I say for estimation we are fairly safe assume there are at least 250 grimlocks to start with. considering the size of the gnomish settlement. we've killed like what? 60. we better hope that elemental starts kicking some serious behind.

Can't wait to see your character join Sir Exxon, I'm sure if your character is a paladin we'll have alot in common (I've always viewed my character concept to be the elven equivalent of a paladin, bearing the elven mindset of course)

well, you've got a few summons to help, although I don't see the skele's lasting long, and I have a few (read alot of) tricks up my sleave for the coming fight.

Morgy personally I would assume maybe the range penalty woldn't apply fully, but I bet there would be accuracy and possible damage penalties based on the fact that the PC probably isn't used to firing their bow in that particular style. Unless they use a proficiency slot for it or something like that. I'm not the DM here, but as a DM that is how I would rule on the matter.

Guys, I am not the best GM that you have ever seen, and I am probably going to be alot more kind than any of you ever would or expect to be treated. Rather than rolling dice and studying numbers, I rely on what I feel has happened, and that usually works to your favor. Of course, I have Cyril on my side, whispering ways that I can kill you all...but that is the only advantage I have over you.

Don't worry so much about official rules, because I do not have the books and the know-how to maintain a game of numbers. If you wonder whether or not you can do something, Cyril will have to be the one to make those calls, because he is book-smart on those things. Or...I can trust you to play fairly. I don't feel that any of you would ever cheat your stats to make something impossible happen, so let's just have fun and we'll all die more happily. Deal? ;D
