"This is a job for 8 people only, 4 per group. Skye and Ferron should probably go as bards, Skye as herself and Ferron as a juggler. The other two thieves who go with them will have to bluff through it.

Heartless you shall have to work with the other thieves, I know it is not your sort of job but you will have to make do with it. You will be paid on the delivery of the gem to myself. Do not expect to be paid much because this job is just covering the cost of yours rooms and food."

OOC: As to Heartless' inquiries. We are not a specific level. But you are right that each thief should be of roughly equal ability so as of the moment a thread will be started at the sssb forum with more information.

ooc- heh, depends upon the situation Starshadow. *winks* bards are only quiet when they need to be.. they just dont often find a reason when they are, no one knows cuz no one notices them thats why people dont believe they're ever quiet

ic- Skye snorted softly to herself and leaned further back in her chair, almost in danger of tipping over backwards. She got along with others easily enough, but perhaps it had been wrong of her to join this guild. There didn't seem to be any other bards, only thieves, and they didn't look like they were going to get along anytime soon. 'Just like thieves, always a contest of who is better, who gets paid what, etc, etc..' she thought to herself with a sigh. 'As if it mattered... they could just steal whatever wealth they wanted, if they were good enough that is.' She also thought she would gagg if one of the men eyed either of the two other women again, who were quite obvious of the attention and using it well to their advantage. Leaning forward suddenly, her chair banged loudly on the floor, causing the others to turn and look at her. "Well, since my job seems to have been settled, I guess I'll just be in my room if anyone wants me," she said cheerfully, and started to stride out of the room. She called over her shoulder as an after thought, "That is, if I don't get lost again. But then again, with so many amazing, talented thieves such as yourselves, I'm sure you would be able to find me easily if I got lost. My bardic skills are no comparison to yours.." The others couldn't tell if she was talking with sarcasm or seriousness, but before any could ask, she had left.

Skye walked down the hallway, rubbing the back of her neck and heaving a huge sigh. "Jeez, I could've cut the air with my sword it was so thick in there. They're all probably easy to get along with on their own, but together," she shuddered, "not a pretty sight, if I do say so myself." Pulling at apple from her sleeve and polishing it a little before biting into it, she continued to nonchalantly stroll towards her room. 'Was only kidding bout the getting lost part... I may be lost at first, but I never get lost the second time!'

ooc- orchid typing is when she's thinking to herself, whereas dodger blue typing is when she's talking aloud. just in case someone was wondering..

Heartless felt suddenly uncomfortable in her seat as she stared ahead. An assignment with no marks and only a bauble of indeterminant value was new to her. This thing, this ... guild was going to take some getting used to.

"Well, I'll promise no casualties," she declared under her breath. That made her feel better at least.

"I'll accompany the sneaks," she said at last.

ooc: It depends on the situation, Skye? Sure... Bards just love to hear their own voices.

Starshadow watched as Skye stalked out of the room. "A bit touchy, perhaps? But still... I'd go with her group, but I'd be all but useless there. Best go where my skills will be put to use, even if it means being surrounded by humans." His stomach turned at the thought. He was a professional though; he would not let his dislike to hurt the job. he just hoped the others would do the same.

He turned to the rest of the group. "What kind of skills do the rest of you have?" he asked impatiently. "I'm quite adept at picking locks and on lookout. And I'm very handy in a fight." Two swords flashed quickly and then disappeared. "We need to know what we've got so we can plan properly. You," he pointed to Heartless, "Heartless, right? What skills do you have that we can use?"

ooc: Another question then: how are thief skills going to be divided (lock-picking, move silent, climb walls, etc.)? I guess we should have figure it all out and explained it first, huh?

"No need to point, hon," she said sweetly.

"I've dabbled in deception and stealth as have we all," she began. "But as for the rest? Well a lady has to have her secrets, doesn't she?"

Heartless rose from her chair and walked with feline grace to the door. Skye had the right idea about leaving, she thought. Best to leave the men to their boasting and promises. There would be time enough to catch up on the details of a simple burglary.

A diminutive form caught up to Heartless and tugged on her gown.

"Yes?"

"The master say he no want blood spilled," the creature said.

"Oh, that's fine dear. I rarely let any touch the floor."

Regardless of her sentiments, however, she knew she would not disregard her employer's instructions when the time came. To do so would be a breach of the assassin's code. Heartless walked with a touch of dissappointment the rest of the way to her lair.

(ooc)can i join in on this.

arune has been watching the group for sometime, unnoticed. "i'd like a part of this if you would give it" he said dryly."i have skills in espionage, and stealth. i may be an assasin, but if you need someone who can hide well, and think fast, then i would be happy to acompany you. or just go as a scout" he said this unmoved from his position in the back of the room. then getting up he walked to the group, clad in black he stood, his short sword draped over his back, and a knife cleaverly held on the inside of his coat.

Elias finally gets up from the bar, still sober it seems, an amazing feat frankly. He strolls around the castle a while, exploring, picking up on whats going on.

After a while of looking around Elias goes to his room.

"Well, this crowd cetaintly thinks there a tough lot they do. Thats to be expected I guess, just like all bandits."

Elias rests on his bed and pops upon another bottle of wine. Looking around his room he sees a bookshelf and walks up too it, grabs a book and relaxs on his bed reading.
