"Well, it said "near-unimaginable wealth". So I suppose it's still something you can imagine. But it also spoke of "giant killer butterflies". Now I've never seen a butterfly hunting for meat before, so I can't imagine how they go about it, but it sounds pretty scary to me. We can give it a try, though, if you like. Here, I'll show you..."
He reached into his pockets for the map, but his hands came out empty. the elf proceeded to pat his clothes, then rummage through his pack, but he could not find it. "Of all the underage spiderloving rabbits... that darn bard must've taken the map for himself when I wasn't looking! All right, don't panic! Stay calm everyone! Take a deep breath... It wasn't long ago since I've last seen him, and he could only be on his way to the joust and damsels in the kingdom of H'Azelle. If you want to come share in the treasure, I say we go and find him. You too Tancred. And if you have to, you can take that oversized nailfile with you as well." |

"I'm ready - perhaps we should take another bard with us - use a bard to catch a bard" OOC: perhaps we could keep Skye's character going while she's gone?

OOC: I think this particular adventure'll be finished before August 7th. If not, we always have portals...
IC: "I don't think we'll need a bard. I'll know him when I see him. And if he's taking part in the joust he won't be hard to miss as the heralds will call out his cursed name. Well, enoug time wasted. Let's get him!" The elf jumped up and ran for the door. Still suffering from the last portal's aftereffects, he hit the post face first. Picking himself up, he tried again, this time getting himself through the hole. Once on the road, he began leading his two (or three if you count the sword) companions to H'Azelle... |

It wasn't long before the elf realised something wasn't quite right.
"What is this place? That's not where I got in! It almost looks like Athkatla or something... Okay everyone, back inside..." Another trip through the door and a little chat with the owner later, the bar moved once more. The new plane was much like the Forgotten Realms, except that it was different. No'ote was, if anything, smaller. The proper anology was perhaps that of a car. If one would think of the FR as a large car (maybe second hand and missing bits of paint here and there, but still a large car). Now think of No'ote as that same car, after it ran into a very solid wall at high speed. Smaller, and worth a lot less. "All right, off we go again. If I'm not mistaken it's a two day trip from here." Nowhere in the plane did people use signposts or milestones. As such, noone used miles to measure distance. Instead, distance was measured in mappers. At regular intervals, travellers would meet other people selling maps. Most were only roughly accurate and slightly overprized, but the system had worked for many years. Unemployment rates were very low, and everyone was highly motivated in the non-mapselling lines of work. There were about twenty mappers to a mile. More in the towns and cities. |

"Hmm... this place looks ordinary enough. Any souvenir-sellers around?"

OOC- oy, you evil people! don't leave me behind! ;-P Luckily, I was able to get to an internet access, but I dunno for how long I'll have this connection. 'Til then, count me in. ^^
IC- "If a bard is so bad that he has to steal, than he's no bard. COunt me in! Maybe I can learn some trade tricks from him.." Skye followed the others, and looked about her with curiosity at the new world. "Tch, I can draw a better map then that," she commented, looking over an annoyed mapmaker's shoulder. Pulling out a scrap of paper and charcoal, she started drawing the surrounding area as they moved on. OOC- ehehe, sounds like I just discovered America. ^^;; Sure, you can use a bard to catch a bard. ^^ Rather ironic name, since in another thread someone of the same name that's also a bard is kinda having a thing for Skye.. *ponders the ironicness* Also, if your not participating in many threads right now, please join this one. It's kinda hard to start anything if there's only 3 people participating.. ![]()
