Neb>>>
I have no problem with you keeping your stats in check. It would benefit Mistral and I to not need to watch over everybody. I think that the only thing we will do is keep a watch on everybody's HPs during battles. Other than that...I trust that everyone will play their characters fairly and not cheat. Thank you for bringing this up.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to pass it up, at least for now. My times are about 10 a.m. 'til 5 p.m., but that's taking it to extremes, no way I'll be on the whole time. Besides, I've got 250's campaign and I need some time to stay up to date on the rest of the forums

I think it IS better to have the 'new' members play. You're making it hard for me to declince though...

Ok...I understand if you cannot work on the schedule. Maybe next time...

Grand-Ranger...you are the leader of the group.
Can you accept that responsibility?
Also, I do not know if it matters on second or third edition rules...The most fun one!

Offical Announcement of game day and time

~We are almost ready to begin our adventure! This thread, being the recruitment thread, will be closed on the day that our game, Arcania's Fall starts.

The time of set-up will be Friday night the 30th of November for me, in the East Coast, beginning at 8pm and running until who knows when.

In Singapore, that is Saturday at 9am for Mistral.

In the game, you will be given a map by somebody and there are places where a map can be purchased of other areas. That makes it exciting, eh? You will encounter people there that can help you if asked, and people that may return hostility for hostility ...so keep your swords away until you are sure of who the enemy is!

Any last minute preparations will still need to be made on this thread, so continue checking in regularly.

Remember that I also have Moderator powers and responsibilities, and so my game thread will be run by obeying the letter of the IronWorks law. Plus, Sazerac and Ziroc will be in the game. So you will all be on your best behavior! I will cover all of that, later.

Me?!? The Leader??!?

Well, this is a surprise. I accept graciously, but let me warn you, if the group falls about due to poor leadership, I am going to have to say "told ya so"

What time is the game going to start? Its monday right? (well for my case anyway)

Also as for 2e or 3e I think 3e is much more fun, but lets not start that arguement here.

Well, if we're running 3rd edition rules then I am afraid that I will not be able to join you, I wouldn't be able to play by them since I don't know them that well and I don't think psionics have even been implemented yet anyway.

Okay, let's try to keep this simple...

We will try as far as possible to stick to 2nd Edition rules; I believe that is what BGII is based on.

However, I think Neb's character, a psionic, is not included as a kit description in BGII. I think we can overlook this, in the spirit of fun. However, in other aspects, we'll stick to 2nd Edition rules.

Okie?

Psionic IS a legal and official 2nd edition class by the way, their powers were probably just too complicated to implement in BG2, either that or because noone ever plays that class they didn't bother to put it in there

Well, how diffrent are they really, and how often are we going to actually use the diffrences?

Saving Throws a diffrent, you have like 6 pr 7 saving throws in 2e and 3 in 3e, that will be used a bit maybe.

The whole BAB and THAC0 is diffrent, and that might be a factor. But those are really the only diffrences that might make a impact on the game.

Graplling is a bit diffrent I think ,but I dont think there will be that much going on.
