Actually, Unleash IS available to the player. And no, it's not the spell.
Surely not without Ascension?

Oh... I misread your post, than. No. Unleash is not available to the player without Ascension, no.

I think so, at least... I also never played without it.

Alright then. It's ToB-only, it's unusable by players in the original game, it's a special ability rather than a spell, it pierces MR and it ignores the Cloak. Besides it being unavoidable, and the fact that I don't even know if it exists in the original game, it does almost fit the description

Siren's Dire Charm. This was my second choice after INT-Drain.

Well, while I have never tested it, they seem to ignore Magic Resistances with ease. *Shrug* I am just basing this on observation.

And we have a WINNER!

I knew I should've allowed you more than one go.

Indeed, the Sirens - and, as Rataxes pointed, Succubi & Alu Fiends - have a special Charm Person ability, which ignores Magic Resistance, bypasses The Cloak, and allows no save.

However, I stated it IS avoidable... how, you ask? Two ways:
 1. True Charm immunity. Helms of Charm Protection, Equalizers, Cavaliers & Inquisitors... you name it.
 2. Femalism. Yes, being a Female will protect you from this special ability, hence the statement that it's actually the LACK of something that'll save you. This is probably the only powergaming issue concerning the gender of the PC... but it matters. Never play a male in a Solo-No-Reloads game!
Well, kudos to you, Dundee. Good job.

ADD] Or... perhaps... you be reading my PM to Daan and Assassin?

Score one for observation skills.

ADD] I just ran a list of ToB spells through my head and slowly eliminated them one by one. One reason why it popped to mind was because of a particular nasty incident in Watcher's Keep involving Sarevock... and the Ravager +6... ...

/gives daan a big, warm hug.

Don't cry, daan. We love you, daan.

Besides... someone needs to come up with new questions.
