Cloudy: "I'm not a whiner"
Timber: Wipes tears from eyes and tries to control his guffaws. Sorry, Cloudy, hadta poke at you. My advice: Don't do her job for her. Send people her way when they should go there. Pointedly tell her you won't do her work for her. Follow your appropriate schedule and pointedly blame her when simply doing your job correctly leaves them strapped for personnel. Simple, really. I know office politics often make the simple seem impossible, but try. |

Her psychological issues coupled with her medical ones shouldn't make ME so stressed out, right? She's got severe issues with 'control' and has said some things that I just sit and drop a jaw to...such as she told me once that she won't let a boss 'control' her - on a few occasions I asked her why she was still doing things in the old way when the boss specifically told us NOT to do it that way and her reply was "I won't be told how to do my job! I'm a good secretary and I'll decide how I want to do it the best way I can!" She let me know that one of her 'secrets' in dealing with the boss trying to 'control' her was to just do it her way anyway or NOT to do it right away when asked for something! How the hey-ho-heck do people like this stay employed? Must be charmed, is all I can say! LOL [ 01-29-2003, 03:03 PM: Message edited by: Cloudbringer ]

Just hook that Charleen up for a blind date with Unca Johnny. I'll get her so drunk she can't bother you for at least 2 months.

ROTFL johnny. But wouldn´t co-worker turn up even later after dating you? She´d be at your tail day and night.
Cloudy, you leaving in time isn´t blowing off if they must see you when you´re about to leave. (At least no IMO). If it important they coud have come to see you earlier. And if I understand you schedule, your co-worker stays an hour later than you. Leave a friendly note on your desk saying "I´m out of here. My lovely co-worker will assist you. Please go badger her." BTW, I hope you get paid over time.

LOL, thanks johnny, but I think Willow's right....co-worker'd be way late if she had to travel out there and get drunk too! OMG...I don't even want to THINK about this woman being drunk! LOL
Attalus, Congrats...but won't your accountant run off to Accapulco with your secretary and all your funds now? LOL isn't that how all those semi-comedy or action flicks start? I just discovered my cat likes spinach quiche!

Sounds like you need a video camera, Cloudy. A webcam with a digital timestamp just might turn the trick.
