Well perhaps you needed to see that word before you could "come down". I don't see how it wasn't clear, I indicated in the quoted post that it was funny until the moment I realized people suffered as a result. I didn't directly mention that I stopped chuckling because I assumed anyone else would and that it was a given. Guess not.
But yeah, this has taken up alot of thread space, really you should have PMed me with this issue and I would have clarified further rather than dragging it all out here. Why the double and triple posting btw?

Hi, I'm new here. Well, a long-time lurker. This story has compelled me to register and post.
I don't think this incident qualifies as griefing. It DEFINITELY is not a 'bit too far.' This is assault. This is a disgusting act. You seriously need to examine your values if you find this remotely funny in any way. To the guy who is trying to defend himself, your first post said you found this funny even though you knew you shouldn't. That indicates you knew something wrong had happened but still your initial reaction was to laugh. Disgusting! As someone who suffers from problems which online support can help, I am disgusted and appalled at such an act. I can't be affected by such an attack b/c I'm not epilectic but words can't express how terrible an incident like this is. To the same person who suggested if this was a skit we'd all laugh... are you serious?! Wow, people in movies are simulated as being killed so I guess it's ok to shoot people? This is not a skit, these are real people with real problems going to a place which is supposed to be for COMFORT and SUPPORT. And this happens... To the person or people who suggested that the website shares some of the blame? No way! Are you serious? The ONLY people who are to blame are the ones who did this. Sure, security could be better, and probably will, but honestly, wow, there's always ways around security. You can't and won't stop everything. These people set out to do this and hurt people, they are the ones responsible. Nor are the users at fault, for not having the proper software or being careful enough in the place where they go for SUPPORT. Sincerely, Graf Zeppelin |

Wow, only went away a couple of days and 6 pages already.
Firstly, Yorick, please stop ranting on. Seriously. There are some people on here that are so opinionated it stops being funny after having to trawl through their countless posts... And I agree with Spirit for the most part. And no point did either of us say it was funny. The word I used, was humerous. There is a difference. Secondly, it's a kind of ironic humour, the fact that they have used a support forum as their medium, and the way they have done it. I think it was quite creative myself. And when I was in college, my best friend had an epileptic fit, banged his head on the fall, and died. Yet I still see this as slightly humerous. If I was epileptic, and this happened to me, I'd be pissed off, but I'd also laugh a little at the creativity of those that did it. But then again, I'm one of the few people who see's 9/11 as an act of genius (Note - i'm not condoning it, and I wish it never happened, but you can't deny the mastermind behind it all). Just because something is evil, doesn't mean it can't be humerous or clever. And it doesn't mean that those who see a slight bit of humour in this, condone it. Anyway, you can start flaming me Yorick... Right about... Now.

Wait you want Yorick to stop ranting but you're baiting him into flaming you openly? that's a bit of a mixed message.
As for humerous, it's not a word. Humorous is a word and in every definition for the word I've ever encountered funny is included, not as a possibility but as a confirmed correlation. hu·mor·ous /ˈhyumərəs or, often, ˈyu-/ [hyoo-mer-uhs or, often, yoo-] –adjective 1. characterized by humor; funny; comical: a humorous anecdote. 2. having or showing the faculty of humor; droll; facetious: a humorous person. That's not intended as an attack of any sort, merely a clarification on the meaning and spelling of the word being disputed.

So my spelling sucks
![]() And mixed message maybe, but Ive been on these boards long enough to know Yorick will still give his opinions on my post ![]() And my interpretation of the word "hu·mor·ous" is something that is mildy amusing, gives a slight smile...not like laugh out loud funny ![]() And firestorm, you knew what I meant even with correct spelling, so don't be so pedantic ![]() PEEEEACE!

Afraid I didn't think it was amusing, either. Geez, I really wonder some days, what these people are thinking? Then it occurs to me that they aren't thinking much at all other than about themselves and quick 'rush' from doing something annoying or downright cruel.
