Aye, not sure why people are getting so upset either. Securerom hasn't got the best rep. It rep doesn't seem to be as bad as Starforce but is certainly up there as far as the complaint ratio goes. I personally have had no problems with it (or copy protection generally) but I warily note the many threads i've seen through the years on various forums.

I really can't think of anything that works without drivers of some kind. Especially something that has to verify physical mediums in a disc drive.
