Nah, the motherboards they use crash and freeze plenty (apparently)

I just saw an advertisment for a new model of the XPS 700. They've fixed a lot of the problems I noticed with the older models. They have a 1066 FSB and 2 GB of fast ram - although the cpu is a 2.13ghz (vs. the 2.93 ghz of the Area 51). The price is in the ballpark, too.

Falcon NW makes some nice systems, but as someone else said, you pay through the nose. To get a system comparable to an Area-51 series 7500 you have to spend 1500-2000 more, *not* a good deal.

They do use top quality parts though, and they make every effort to provide a first-class experience. The way they install parts and route cables is a thing of beauty.

...and both Alienware and FNW have their fair share of stability problems. I've heard good and bad about both. I have zero experience with FNW service, but Alienware has kick-ass service.

I've been much busier than I thought. been in Poland a week now and still haven't got to buying the new PC. In fact didnt even have time to post here (my first opost other than the one in Groljach's thread).

Hopefully in a few days I'll be buying the new comp. Will post more questions about specs then.

What PC do you have now? If it's not too weak(older than 3 years), I suggest you hold on to it for about 4 more months. DDR3, DX10 and other goodies approach.

I don't really have any now. I doubt I'll be able to wait a few months.

Ah. That explains it. In that case, try not to take the best graphics card, processor or memory, as those are the components that are likely to be made obsolete soon.
EDIT: Just had another sex change. This one even changed my species.
