I have atleast 1 cd by every band i have listed, and most i have at least 3 by, it's a good way to get a decent collection of something, and a good way of knowing wether you like it or not before you buy.

Dragonforce - Soldiers of the Wasteland
Nightwish - Wish I Had an Angel
Nightwish - Phantom of the Opera

Over her we have a post order magazine that has a lot of CDs. They even made a new viking metal part with some great CDs. Battlelore is kind of hard to get though especially their first CD. But I can order all Amon Amarth CDs there.

Aah, cool. I'm still hunting for a decent place i can get stuff, over where i live (england) the place is crowded with chavs, and rap fans, so there's little room for metal

I really like some classic rockers like Rush, Jethro Tull, Zeppelin and AC/DC.

Throw in a few bands like They Might be Giants and the Aquabats for hilarity's sake. Seriously, try to find a song called Pool Party, I Fell Asleep on My Arm, or Worms make Dirt, by the Aquabats, and/or download a video of them on stage dressed up as superheroes and have yourself a good laugh and some silly dancing. They're quite entertaining live.

As for metal, the metal stations in Dallas slowly began dropping the ball in the late 90's, and now it's basically gone all except for sickening displays of "Hair Metal".

So I had to explore through the internet in sites like the old MP3.com to find out what was going on in metal, and it's by far my preferred music.

I like Candlemass, Bolt Thrower, Iron Maiden, Reign in Blood era Slayer, Dragonheart, Dragonforce (not to be confused with eachother, movies, or otherwise lol), Angra, Opeth, Rhapsody, the Russian band Epidemia, Farmakon, Ilnath, Iced Earth, Death, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, Celtic Frost, Sonata Arctica, Mercyful Fate, Mithotyn, the Storyteller, Old Man's Child, Blind Guardian, Between the Buried and Me, Beyond the Embrace, In Flames, Dark Tranquility (lots of people here do too!), Old Funeral...

*takes a breath*

There's about 200 more, but we're mostly just scanning for bands we know anyway, lol.

I'll check out that site later though, thanks! Finding and listening to new music isn't as easy as I'd like it to be.

Aah, some great metal choices Lucern. But, Dragonheart and Dragonforce are the same band They changed their name.

Also, it's good to see some more Sonata Arctica fans
