I agree with Wyvern. It's only prudent to have your sig shown 1 time in a thread. But as of yet, we don't enforce that here.
The new UBB version sounds great Ziroc. Sounds great that there will be automatic checkups on sigs. I think we all have our graphic sigs within the limit though, since we have professionals drawing them. I also look forward to a change, if there will be one, in the show signature option. It is so easy to forget to uncheck that box.

The great thing about the W&W board is that Wyv very seldom has to enforce the one graphic sig/thread rule. OK we don´t have as many visitors as the GD but still. Everyone knows it and everyone follows it. Sheesh, here I am advertising the W&W forum. I guess no harm is done since the W&W board is a part of IW.

Cloudy, I thought perhaps Wyv bragged about it in the mod forum. LOL!

Anyway, I knew a guy that went into the forums and he had a signature a page long, because he had the "best" quotes from all of his friends... though I never got on it, but I don't know why I didn't with my charming personality
I've seen those . I used to play an online game and I occasionally visited the forums associated. Most people had signatures that consisted of 'humourous' IRC chats they'd been in, which went for more than a page. The stupid thing is, noone who wasn't there thinks they're funny, and anyone who was doesn't read them! I think it's like a 'hey, I really did have fun once' kind of status thing

I wanted to comment on the 'grandfathering' thing. I'm just not sure why it's necessary - I mean, just because someone's been here for a long time is no reason that they can't downsize their image, or get someone to do it for them, and certainly no reason for them to have more lines of text than anyone new. Just seems to me to cause confusion for people who are new - it's obvious some people don't read the ToS (ignorance of the law is no excuse!! Yeah yeah ), and even if they do, when they see others who might be going over it'll make them think that the rules aren't enforced. Not meaning to undermine anyone's authority

As far as I can tell, yes, it is, Sir G.

Aelia, I agree on much of what you said, but then it's up to Z on how he handles this and sounds like the new forum upgrade may make it a moot point!

Lord K, you don't have more than 3 lines of text with your sig pic, so as best I can say, you meet the limits set by Ziroc. But those gibbies look mean! LOL

Ya, its hard to keep um at bay sometimes, but we manage.
I knew I was ok with the 3 lines, but I do have a fairly large picture and the gibbies. Maybe Z will let me slip by with the "grandfather" clouse.

Thanks Cloudster.

Mines okay right Cloudster? I could edit it if you like. Self will take out Penguin army one if needed. Prefer my Cafe ones.
Actually, Lord K, your image is a little oversized. The ToS says :

Quote:
We allow up to 2 Images in your sig. But, we prefer you use 1 or combine the 2 into one image. If you use 1 image in your signature, you are allowed the image resolution to be 225x155, and no more than 150Kb in size. This NEW Size will take effect on January 27th 2002. Anyone before that time will still be allowed to keep their slightly larger sig.
