I know 2 heroin addicts, both are otherwise really nice guys, and both really regret getting started.

ps. Speaking of addictions, it's 2 weeks today since I had a smoke (and counting). I've hardly even had a craving this time, so I think I've finally kicked the habbit. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Indeed, why should we? It's a choice each individual makes. You don't have to feel empathy for those that take their own lives. But such openly flaunted callousness is going to win you no friends among the living. Think on it for a while.

Whether you care about that or not, you will have a care for what you call people in this forum and you will keep in mind that deliberately provoking someone is prohibited. As Memnoch already posted- calling anyone here a 'freaking moron' for their opinions on any matter isn't acceptable. Accusing someone of 'double standard' simply because they disagree with your opinion on an issue could be construed as flamebaiting them, but I'll assume you didn't mean to do that for now.

This is a highly emotional subject for many people, so let's try and keep it free of personal insults and arguments.

You get really pissed over your threads (in your head) being ruined. You care sooo much about a bit of type on a screen. The things you had to say, the way you wanted to come across....All ruined... I can tell you do care about that.
I think you've lost your grip on the important things.

You don't care about the death of an individual, one who was sooo worried about a bit of type on a screen. One who was worried about the things he wanted to say, the way he wanted to come across?

You and he seem to have some things in common.

A trip to the doctors or psychiatrists may be a good idea for you. But please...go careful on the prescription drugs, especially when sitting in front of your PC trying to play the big hard man.

Personally I think the people in this thread who are saying "Ripper" deserved to die are stupid and ignorant. (No offense guys-I speak 'cause I've known people who were either depressed or addicted to anti-depressants).

Depression is deep. Okay, so some teenagers get it naturally. I've just been through it. I'm usually a bright person so once I stopped moping I realised it might be better if my dad left. I associate with a girl who is addicted to anti-depressants. Her doctor refuses to prescribe her any more and we're all there for her but it's not easy for her.

I've known, either indirectly or directly, people who are addicted to anti-depressants.

Listen to this. Your life feels like its crumbling around you. You feel constantly unloved, unaccepted and unappreciated. Then, you find people who seem to like you, albeit on an internet chatroom. You want to impress them, to keep the few friends you've made. You don't know how else but to take your anti-depressants. At the start you feel encouraged by their reactions. You are gulping down anti-depressants. You feel invulnerable, no longer connected to such trivial things as an overdose-death. The guys here like you. You take some more to keep impressing them, to keep feeling popular.

Finally, it's too much. You're dead.

Like I said, I've been depressed myself. It's not fun. You feel everyone hates you, that whenever you say something they just think, "Oh my God, it's that insignificant little girl again." It was a lot worse in his case if he was anti-depressants. I don't think it was his fault. Whatever made him depressed killed him, not the drugs, or even the people there.

Personally, Oblivion, I think your attitude is born out of ignorance. You don't know anything about suicide, so develope a callous view to it. Maybe you should think on your words before you post them? There are people here who may be acquainted with suicide cases.
