Ok, assuming you aren't just being difficult or perhaps joking and don't mean to go on flouting the rules as your post indicates... and I will assume that you aren't for now, which part of my post and Ziroc's thread saying not to use any 'variations' of the f-word did you not understand? Ziroc isn't allowing it here, so just follow the rules and don't 'punctuate' your posts with anything resembling it. I hope that is clear enough. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I thought I would write this letter to you to let you know that you are confusing me. If you have read Magiks thread on profiles you might understand some of my confusion. Is English your first language? Maybe I have trouble understanding your ideas because of a language barrier. Are you against religion because you were raised a strict Shiite Muslim in Pakistan or because you have never been exposed to a good example of a person of faith because there were none in the underwater habitat where you were raised?

You speak very passionately yet it seems that your arguement can be expressed by an old American saying "my way or the highway". You demand respect but offer it to none. As a parent all will follow your rules in your home. In this thread all that matters are the rules that you want to follow when you want to follow them. If you are going to post in serious threads then your opinion and life view should be consistent. If you flip-flop with every post then how can we take your views seriously?

and erm no if you read my posts you'd know im UK, anyhows i offer no respect? you havent been reading obviously, i have the utmost respect for people like cerek who has been posting thought out arguments to counter mine, and i agree with alot of what hes been saying, if you havent been following the thread id appreciate you not going off halfcocked when replying to me.

i have the utmost respect for intelligent posts in response to mine, and i fully accept other peoples views and can understand them, they are just NOT for me, that does NOT mean i discount them.

The yorick thing was not meant to offend, was just joking with him as i have on other posts, i do hope thats not the reason for the lack of respect thing.

John - I know plenty about christianity thank you, more than certain devout christians i know thats for sure, it was judaism i asked some questions about, and they were answered and thats all i wanted to know. Thanks for the offer though.

Cloud - feck is NOT a variation of the f-word (which was my point, im not flouting rules)and i do not use it as such therefore i dont believe im flouting the rules, neither are any of the others i mentioned, fick is short for thick, frick is a mild word taught to children so they dont learn the f-word later in life, fook is probably the closest to the f-word so i wont use that. But feck is not anything to do with the f-word its a mild irish swear, and something i use alot, i do NOT consider it a variation on the f-word so therefore im not breaking the rules using it, nor any of the others cept fook which i will not use from now on as it is a variation.

This is the last time i reply to anyone who hasnt been reading the thread fully, if i believe you havent read what I been saying and are assuming im something im not then its not worth me explaining again, people like cloud, cerek or the hierophant i will continue to respect and reply to.

Heya man, how're things?

I think what Cloudy is getting at there is that anything that might be interpreted by others as being an 'f' word should be steered clear of. It's cool that you don't intend it to be swearing n' all, but many others might not see it that way. The thing is to just show a little bit of courtesy and manners I guess, be a bit sensitive to other people's feelings. You're a good guy, you know how these things work right?

oh and antryg keep the sarcasm firmly to yourself, in this thread i was replying to a certain few people and your not one of them, im certainly not "flip flopping" my views remain the same throughout, if your understanding of them is not up to scratch i cannot help you anymore, the people with sense have read and understood what i meant and intended and have NOT been offended by what i said, i checked with them.

so looks like your on your own, but thanks for the frankly insulting sarcastic post, id start responding in kind but it and you just arent worth the effort, so consider this my last post in response to yours unless your going to provide intelligent argument.

Grungi...no one knows everything or even "plenty" about anything, especially something as diverse as Christianity (or other religion). John D happens to be very knowledgeable and most generous in his offer. Please do not sweep his offer aside because you think you know enough. I happen to know a lot about Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, Zoroasterism, Confucianism, Paganism at large and most groups in particular, and a few others thrown in. However I would *never* turn down another's tidbits if for no other reason that they may hold a different body of knowledge than I do!!! ::shrugs:: But that is, indeed, your choice.

garnet i said i know "plenty" which is true, and im sweeping his offer aside because i know what i want to know, im not trying to be offensive, i was asking a question about judaism which was answered, end of story. Theres nothing more i need or want to know about christianity, im not too interested in learning much more about religions these days anyway, i got other things to occupy my time, i learnt alot when i was interested when younger, now im not so thats why im not interested in his offer, im sure hes an expert and i appreciate him offering, just me personally im not interested.

as u said its my choice, im turning it down because i dont want to waste my time learning it, im not trying to be offensive, just it really doesnt interest me anymore, talk about rpgs, comp games, things like that interests me, theological disputes interest me somewhat, and learning things about the things i ask to learn about obviously does to, but i dont want to spend time talking to someone about aspects of their religion on a forum when im at work, waste enough time as it is replying constantly [img]tongue.gif[/img] I have friends from most prevalent religions so if i wanted more info id ask them.

oh and hierophant as usual im being misunderstood, if i said for frogs sake would you think i was substituting for the f word? no you wouldnt, yet i use a word that people dont know because they dont know irish and they immediately assume its the f word? thats ignorance not me breaking the rules in anyway which i dont want to do, anyhows im going to email to find out.
