Hardly anything I can do these days, pain is excruciating and if I can do the dishes once a week I'm proud.
There you have it, great huh?

Rikard, thanks for that great definition of maturity! You are so right, it has so much more to do with how you perceive and react to situations and how you handle yourself. Character comes with maturity.

I collect pewter figures myself, and I'm 38...I certainly don't think that makes me immature.

Hi Saz! (gimmee a holler on icq or email to set a playdate this week! )

Ooh... I love Disney animated films and cartoons... and I don't think I've been accused of immaturity any time recently! Now, Rikard DOES think I'm a stuffy old coot sometimes.. but he's just jealous because I have a Jackal headed god of the dead for my avatar and he's a cow goddess! HAHAHA.... teehee

Blade, some teens here are Rikard, Jerome, Grand Ranger, Bahamut, Kazara, Lavindathar(anyone seen him around?), Jafin, and myself. I think we are all (fairly ) mature, and can be serious when neccesary.
Sometimes. When it's REALLY necessary . A large part of life is knowing when to have fun and when to be serious.

Hmmm, just had to respond to the whole teen posters thing here. One thing I've noticed about people who seem to have their shit together is that they have a strong sense of themselves from early on. That is something that comes through very clearly on the posts I've read from our younger forum members, their sense of self. Without knowing the ages of the folks here, it is very difficult to guess who is younger and who is older. I was surprised to learn that Lionness and Jerome are as young as they are. Melusine, you also surprised me as I had you mentally pegged as a mid-thirties professional when you first started coming here.Yorick is another person wise beyond his years.
Something that amuses me to no end is to hear people get full of themselves because they are "old". There are folks who pontificate about their storehouse of wisdom that comes with age... and they're within two years of my age. As someone once said, "Wisdom doesn't always come with Age, sometimes Age travels alone."

LOL, what a great quote, thanks!! That actually reminds me a lot of my father. I have learned a long time ago not to go to him with my problems, because he will immediately connect my problem to something he himself experienced, and forget I am a different person with different ideas. Very frustrating
I'll be sure to use that saying to him once...heh.
BTW I am surprised about the estimation you had of my age... it's not something I hear very often (though people usually give me about 5 more years than I have in reality) and I believe my age shows in many posts...
