While I'm not hyped enough to get it, the screenshots i think wouldn't do the fright from the game justice. But...I am in luck. My friend cant run his D3 on his computer, and he is definetly gonna come here to try it. I'd rather buy Civ3 with that money, or Psi-Ops. That was a really cool game!

Well, I have decided, that this alongside with KOTOR, is my favourite game EVER!!
I finished it last friday, and you have no idea how many pairs of underwear I went through...
Although I thought the last boss was a bit easy.

Because he just frires rockets, you can use your plasma cannon on him and destroy the rockets before they even get close, the only trouble in that level is falling off the platform. Also, the soul cube can get you out of any trouble with your helth.

Bokken, I just got the new issue of CPC and with your standard 6800 you should be able to get 43.2fps on 1600x1200 8xAF, that is quite playable.

1) 2.0 AMD (1.8 equivalent)
2) 512 ram
3) 5200 fx gforce

.. my friend who has the game tells me good luck on trying to play the game . im hoping to play it at least on decent graphics (even if its on the lowest of the low settings).

Well your RAM is right on the recommended, Your CPU passes(bare minimum is 1.4) but your graphics card is what will let you down, my friend has that card, a bit more ram but a slower CPU and he can only barely play it on the minimum graphics, but he says its not worth it because it not scary when it doesnt look good. And believe me, minimum does not look good.

Oh, Zuvio, try updating to the 4.9 Beta drivers. Just search for Doom3 on ATI.com

Follow those instructions carefully.

Personally I dl the driver components as one package, uninstall my existing drivers, then install new ones.

Yeah, the new drivers were designed mainly to help people with ati cards play doom.
If you have an ATI card and are having trouble playing this game then go Here or Here

*EDIT
Also, the newest directx(9.0c) drivers help aswell.

Those links do not work for me. I am curious, as I just got this game (a special 50% off campaign at a local store), and my hardware setup seems pretty much identical to Zuvio's. I have not installed the game yet.

It was disappointing to see that Sandy Petersen was not in the game dev team. I always thought that Sandy's monsters were the most interesting ones ever designed for 1st-person shooters. Oh well, I will install the game and try it tomorrow. I need to get catch some sleep first.

One very special spoiler request for those who have already completed D3. Are any of the classic DoomI/II monsters making an appearance in D3? I would be especially impressed if I came across a Cyberd... oh, and very, very, afraid, too.

Well seclits, you will be happy to know that pretty much all of teh monsters in D3 are from the original game, except maybe one or two, and they introduce most new monsters with a very cool cut scene.
Oh and SPOILER
