Their is a "Playable Lute" mod. If you have it on PC, I would recomend it. It doesn't really serve any purpose other than allowing you to play a lute... but its great for roleplaying all the same.

A quick Google search brings The Entertainer's Mod from Zdim's Morrowind Mods.

Need more help... (slight spoilers below)
I've progessed to level 4, this weekend, and therefore think I've advanced to the point where I can start asking dumb questions intelligently: It has been stated that it takes 10 skill advances to level. Is this affected by skill weighting (Major/Minor/Miscellaneous)? Is it affected by multiple levels in the same skill? Is it affected by how the skill was acquired? The reason I ask is that I figured I would just "buy" a level by increasing 5 times in a cheap "minor" or "miscellaneous" skill at a trainer, and then 5 more times in another cheap skill at another trainer. I already had 2 or 3 skill increases when I started executing the first part of the plan at a trainer. I saved, then started in on 5 more advances from another trainer. But I started having second thoughts, that this wouldn't give me a "x3" in three selections for my leveling tokens. So, after advancing 2 or 3 times in the second skill, I went back to my save and advanced in 2 DIFFERENT skills from the 2nd trainer. I immediately got the notice to go sleep and level. I know that I advanced fewer times, or a best the same number of times, in skills on my second attempt. Yet it was only on my second attempt that I got the message to go sleep. Can anyone tell me why this is? Can you ever get a "x4" for a leveling token? If so, what does it take to do so? A more general question: Is there a method of skill inceases to maximize your attribute gains from each level? (Example: Is there an advantage to training in 3 strength attribute skills, 3 agility, and 4 intelligence, to maximize gains in those for the 3 tokens; then next level do the same for skills that use, say, willpower, speed and endurance the next time?) I've started using the upstairs storage room, at Eight Plates in Balmora, as my stash spot: it's private, has lots of storage and is centrally located. Anyone know of a better place? I have amassed over 130 saltrice (saltrices?) Are these commonly used in recipes, or should I be off-loading them? I know that strength affects your longsword damage and that fatigue level affects your chance to hit. Does strength also affect your chance to hit? Is there a way to tell your OPPONENT'S health level in battle? When I use the bow, I see a fourth status bar, above the three other regular ones, and it fills with yellow. What is this telling me? Is there a way to tell just how long I should be holding down the left mouse key when in a sword fight? And *IF* the blow hits, is the damage controlled only by how long you held down the mouse button, or is there some randomization cranked into it, too? I am stuck on a quest. I've joined the Thieve's guild and am up to the job of recovering the Dwemer artifacts from Rhizid (sp?) at Fatleg's. I've questioned everyone in the fishing port; bribed EVERYONE of interest (at least 8 NPCs, including, of course, Rhizid and most of the folks underneath Fatleg's establishment) to a high high level of cooperation; traveled by boat to (forgot name) to save Rabinna; learned in that town that Dwemer artifacts are a regulated item; returned to the fishing town and questioned everyone again; killed Rabinna's master; and have searched the town high and low. I see the locked chest in Fatleg's store; but don't want to try that unless I am *SURE* that the artifacts are there; since it appears that I will need to take on two opponents if I do. If I bribe any more people, they are going to make me mayor. I tried pickpocketing Rhizid; but saw nothing. What am I overlooking? Broad hints and very specific hints appreciated. My character had a strength of 43 at the time that Rabinna's master decided to kill me. He whooped my fanny three times before I decided to learn how to use potions. Then I mauled him. Hey! This is great! Looks like potions are the way to go. Got to take this character back through Pelgiad and grab that mortar and pestle. While I am on the subject: How do I use my alembic to make potions stronger (or whatever an alembic does)? Do I mix it with a mortar and pestle and then put it through the alembic? Thanks! I'm way too tired to answer anything substantially, but I can tell you not to bother with Saltrice.
![]() They're used in some potions, but they're so cheap and common that they're not worth keeping, you can easily acquire some when necessary. Most ingredients aren't worth keeping, check the monetary values for general indication. Anything worse less than Racer Plumes (20G) shouldn't really be getting collected unless for a specific quest or potion. Edit: *Anything WORTH less than Racer Plumes... I told you I was tired! Edit v1.04: As far as I know, there is no way getting Rhazid to hand over the items. There may be another way, but I've personally always had to pick the lock and either run or fight (unless Invisibility is an option?). Edit v1.1: Your potions will be better the more equipment you use, and the better quality the equipment in question. If you have a mortar & pestle and an alembic in your inventory, 'equipping' either will automatically use both. Same goes for if you've got any of the other alchemy equipment. Also, that yellow bar IS your enemy's health! As for the levelling questions... You'll have to wait for the 1.2 patch! ![]() [ 11-14-2005, 11:43 AM: Message edited by: Brayf ] |

There may be another way, but I've personally always had to pick the lock and either run or fight (unless Invisibility is an option?). Heh, heh, well that sort of answers the question of where the items are. So, if I pick the lock, get this stuff, and run, will I ever be able to show my face in Fatleg's again? I don't want to lose the ability to shop here (or is it that important?). Your potions will be better the more equipment you use, and the better quality the equipment in question. If you have a mortar & pestle and an alembic in your inventory, 'equipping' either will automatically use both. Same goes for if you've got any of the other alchemy equipment. Thanks! Exactly the info I need. When I get the equipment, I'll just stash it with all the ingredients, and call that room my "lab." Also, that yellow bar IS your enemy's health! Ho, ho, HO! ~blush~ See. I *can* ask a dumb question! Here is a follow-up question: Why does it appear intermittently instead of displaying constantly? |

The enemy health bar should be displayed as long as your enemy is trying to attack you.
And Fatleg's isn't an important place, other than a sub-quest downstairs ![]() |

To use an alembic, simply select it in the potion mixing screen where it says "Apparatus" if it's not already there by clicking on an empty box. Edit: If you have a Skooma pipe it also shows up among your apparatus, but I don't know what it does. [ 11-14-2005, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: Stratos ]

No idea, I'd never even heard of it until this thread! Do report back with your findings, though.
