ooc- *imitates Elmar Fudd* Shhh, I be hunting poptawts..

ic- Skye blushed slightly. "Fus better opi chi ayo other dezeldas hear fus zel jhala Ryukari, riilyr olu syr insulted," she said teasingly. "But alecra fus cha ders compliment. Rarely kir ayo uan zel jhala si nua, if ever." She again reached out and ruffled Ryukari's hair irresistably, then turned towards Turgon. "Well, there doesn't really seem to be very much to do around here... oh my gosh!"

Skye rushed back into the tavern abruptly, leaving Ryukari and Turgon to stare at each other questioningly. She quickly returned and explained breathlessly "I forgot to return the barkeeper's lute... I think he would have been rather upset once he realised. As I was saying," she continued, "I don't really see any need to stick around here for much longer, except to stock up on necessities and stuff." She glanced down quickly at their prison garb with a dry look. "Well, what do you think?"

Turgon cheerfully grabbed the money handed to him by Skye, and stood up. As she finished her performance with a song that might seem a bit out of place, he started applauding again, before he followed her out the door.
"Eh, what did I tell ya? All inns gladly appreciates bards," he said, grinning. "Nice performance, Skye."
He didn't get any reply, as Skye suddenly turned around, and ran back inside. "What was that all about?," he asked Ryukari, who appearently was as surprised as himself. Skye soon came back, though, and explained that she only had to give the innkeeper back his lute. "Ah well, I doubt he'd care anyway," Turgon thought.

He nodded when Skye came with her suggestion, that they should only buy what they needed, and then continue down the road. "We atleast have the money we need," he said. "Some good equipment will come in handy.
Let's go find a store, shall we?"

"I wonder what Pathris is up to, though," Turgon thought to himself.

Pathris followed as quickly as he was able, which was a bit slower than Moralae's pace. He was out of practice now, more used to the forests and trees than the city. "I need to tackle more city adventures," he muttered to himself as he went.

With a sigh, he saw Moralae waiting for him on the roof of their target, sitting on the chimney. "Go down the chimney?!" he whispered fiercely. "The back window is more my style. After all, I'm not as skinny as you, my dear."

He slipped to the ground to check out the window. Even though this was Pnay, he figured that they may have heard of traps, so he searched for one carefully before turning his attention to opening the window. He would not be deterred if he met a lock, and he reached for one of the needles he had kept from his time in torture room of the dungeon. It would be of help in picking a lock.

Ryukari

Ryukari looked down at the fairly nice outfit he'd polymorphed for himself, then examined Skye's clothes, apparently taking on her meaning with the help of unintentional body language. He scratched his scalp, a puzzled expression crossing his face. He looked up at Skye and asked, Arkat yf ders uwohalm fi these scales? Riilyr aky opi give much protection, yi riilyr uko opi very handsome." He scratched his chin. "Aky fus anch jhala fus eso nicer scales?" He grinned and nodded. "Skye deserves chern ders finest." He then reached into his trouser pocket and pulled out a handful of gold pieces. "Here fus uko! Ond upo buy fus nice scales ekos, gio'la? Y ilalmayr give fus senf, but Y upo chern chril orn much orn often." You counted out seven gold in his outstretched hand.

Moralae

Moralae slipped in through the window after you, rubbing her hands together in anticipation. "Ooooh, this'll be fun! Eep! But watch your step!"
This warning was just, as the clothier was quite cluttered with racks and tables draped with all types of carefully stitched livery. Moralae instantly hopped over to the showiest dress in the store and held it up, smirking and slyly saying, "Oh Pathris darling, I think you'd look just smashing in this."

Pathris nearly laughed at Moralae's choice for him. "And where am I going to wear that? It's not like I'm going to a formal ball or anything. Put that in the 'maybe' pile." He looked around. "How about something a bit more functional?"

He started to look through the clothes, looking for something more his style. Preferably, a pair of pants better suited to him and baggy enough to be able to hide a few daggers on his leg. And he desperately needed some boots. These shoes were not what he preferred to wear.

He paused and pulled out an elegant dress, the gaudiest thing he had seen. "This might do for you," he said with a smile. "But I'd prefer something less... conspicuous?" He grabbed a non-descript dark green shirt and showed it to Moralae. "What do you think of this? Don't you think it would go well with my eyes?"

Moralae

Moralae looked at your choice and snickered. "That would posotively come down to my ankles." She stepped up and inspected the tunic thoughtfully. "Hmmm... It's so... Plain..." She quickly looked about then snapped something off a rack. She held up a dark jade tunic trimmed with black and threaded with silver. "Now how about this?" She held it up, then chuckled. "Except in *your* size, not mine from the baby department." She continued to scour the store for you, saying, "You ought to try something with red! It would bring out the silver in your hair, and it'd make your eyes go POP!" She tossed a crimson and black tunic onto your head, grinning and mouthing the word: "Score!" She then went back to looking for herself, quite dissapointed at the overall prim selection.

Pathris looked at Moralae with an amused smile. "Too plain? I don't want to stick out like a sore thumb when I'm... er, plying my trade." He pointed at the jade tunic she then pulled out. "But that one might be okay. In a bigger size, of course. It's not too noticable."

But Moralae then tossed another onto his head, and he pulled it off and studied it. "Hmm... I don't know about red. I prefer dark greens and blues. I think they look better on me."

He searched the store some more, and came across something interesting. He pulled it out and showed it to Moralae. "Here's something for you." It was about the ugliest thing he had seen, a shirt with random colors haphazardly thrown in. It had nearly every color Pathris could think of, and then some. There would be no way that he would be caught dead wearing something like that. "Lots of, uh, pretty colors. And it's definitely not plain. It might suit you."

ooc- okay, since I'm tired of having to write this so much, I'm just gonna cut and paste from the Bar:
Quote:
*phew* unfortunately I was detained due to a month of grounding, so it'll take me awhile to get the knack of writing again. don't bother asking why I was grounded, I'm still a little bewildered myself. My Dad was just in a grounding streak I guess... Imagine someone wandering about your house and pointing at people shouting "Your grounded too!" *shakes head, confused*
Sowwy if I held this thread up any..

ic- Skye knelt down and hugged Ryukari closely to her. "alecra fus, deregh uan, esi yf very aryd fi fus. esi should help nua buy some dere yi..." she paused and laughed lightly for a moment, "better scales." She stood up and looked where she had seen the lit up store earlier that day. "Let's go and look around there," she suggested, and strode off in its direction, Ryukari's human hand grasped in hers.

edit- oh, i just remembered.. *prods k-spree annoyingly* siiisss, i wanna see your pictures of my two favourite poptarts.. pwetty pwease??

(ooc: And with the return of Skye, we are officially off hiatus!
Bloody heck, if only I'd known you had posted sooner! I didn't know til this morning when Exxon told me...)

Moralae
Moralae raised an eyebrow at the garish piece of clothing. She then turned this cynic countenance to you. "Is this some subtle way of telling me you want me dead? It wouldn't take long to track me down with this atrocity on my back." She then pouted and spewed forth comic cries. "And I thought we were so close! Ooooh!" She turned her back to you and dramatically pretended to cry in her hands, bemoaning her tragic luck. About midway through rolling your eyes she spun around and lunged to tackle you, trying to smother you with the fowl shirt. Yet another spontaneous, completely unrelated course of action!

Ryukari
Ryukari squeezed Skye's hand, and he, she, and Turgon made their way into the lighted shop.

Ryukari, Skye, Turgon
There was a clerk lazily leaning back in his chair reading a book. He looked up when the door opened and smiled. He was a pleasant looking older fellow with a friendly grin. The human stood creakily up and lay his book on the counter, then made his way over to the group. The building was filled with shelves of various goods. It appeared to be a general store of some sort. The wiry old chap pulled some spectacles from his shirt pocket and positioned them on his nose as he approached you. He smiled once again and said, "Well! If it isn't a clutch of the fair folk! It's been a consid'rable while since I've seen your kind 'round these parts. What can I be doing for ye this ev'nin'? Something in particular you'd be looking for? I'm sure I can help ye."

Turgon sighed at Skye and Ryukari, and rolled his eyes at them. He had grown quite irritated by not knowing what his two companions were talking about, even if it wasn't anything important. "Are you two done soon?," he asked with a little smile. "I'm starting to get bored by just looking at the store, I'd sure like to see what's inside it as well." Hoping the two would follow him, he strode over to the house's door.

Turgon went in, and looked around. It appeared to be more of a common store, not one made for adventurers. "But with all these shelves, and considering the size of this shop, I'll be surprised if they don't have anything of use," Turgon thought.
Behind the counter sat an elderly clerk, deep buried in a book. He reacted as the party came through the door, though, and made his way over to them. As he greeted them, and asked if he could help them, Turgon looked down at the shorter human, and had a small, friendly grin. "I'm sure you can help us," he said. "We are... adventurers of a sort, and have just escaped a great evil," Turgon continued, trying to make the clerk impressed by them. He was careful as to how much he told the man, though. "And as you can see, our equipment is not good enough for the road ahead of us. So we are in need of some good adventure-wear, and some supplies for our journey. Also, some maps over the nearest areas will be appreciated."
Hoping the clerk had gotten everything he had just asked for, Turgon turned his head back to Skye, and whispered, "We got the money to pay for all of this, right?"
