Sitting down seemed to help, although he didn't trust the water. It was somehow... too watery.
"Thanks.. got anything stronger for me? Uuh, my head..." The elf turned his attention to the stranger who'd just told him his name, a name he promptly forgot. "Naah, I don't alwaysh..." He shook his head a bit, trying to clear his mind. "I don't usually travel like that. Only used a portal once before, and that's the reason I had to take one back. All of us was... were in the.. ehr.. the mountains I think. Nice place, by the way. I saw that guy with the sword there too. Anyway, next thing I knew, they were all gone." He sighed as he probed the lump on his head. "So I took the next one to the bar, only it didn't go there straight away and the driver was... drunk... or something..." He placed two fingers on his mouth to keep his lunch in at the memory. He placed another there at the memory of what his lunch had been. "Anyway, 's nice meeting you." Whatever your name was... |

Skye handed him some elven mead. Sensing he probably didn't comprehend a word she said earlier, she said "The name's Skye. I'm guessing you don't really want to, uh, go into any of the details. At least not for the moment."

His hands moved to his head in an attempt to steady himself, adn he was glad he was sitting down now. When the worst had passed yet again, he took a sip of the wine.
"Thanks.. no details, no. It's enough to make one sick." He grimaced when he realised how true that was. "Skye eh? You have your own dragon, right? Must be cool, flying through the air, doing some wild spinning manouvres, making a loop... euh, yes..." He struggled to hold back another wave of nausea. "Must be cool..." |

Skye grinned. "If Lyulfe even sensed my thinking of something like that, he'd sit on me," she said with a chuckle. "He doesn't really appreciate having people riding on him."
OOC- Lyulfe- "damn straight!" ^^ [ 06-17-2002, 08:16 PM: Message edited by: Skydracgrrl ] |

"Ho, it's the accident-prone Elf-lord! Heavens' eyes, how have you BEEN? I haven't seen you since we were cast from Heaven for walking on the grass some... god knows how long ago. Say hello, Karnas!"
The sword seems uncannily grumpy. It harrrumphs. "Oh, well, never mind him. You seem a trifle unstable there, chap. Care for a seat?"

The elf flashed an apologising smile at Skye as he decided to abandon their conversation in favour of this new one offered.
"Well..." he began as he stood up from his seat and carefully walked over to the warrior's table, feeling good enough to pretend he was all right now, "I have been dizzy, sick to the point of throwing up, stuck between the planes for a bit and occasionally in a lot of pain. But otherwise I'm fine, thanks for asking." As he sat down again, he was slightly surprised to find he had managed the walk without falling over again. Right until he saw Skye standing closeby and realised she must have lent him a hand here and there. He smiled at her again before going on. "Yes, that was quite the adventure all right. One of my more succesful ones too. I believe the worst thing I experineced then was being polymorphed into a mouse..." He looked around the bar a bit to see if there was anyone else nearby and any point in boasting. He was a little saddened to see there wasn't. "But do tell... have you and your ornamented toothpick had any interesting adventures of late? Heard any tales of fame, glory and treasure you want to share?" |

"ORNAMENTED TOOTHPICK?!? Why, you skinny pointy-lugged wastrel, if I had a body and my full powers I would crush you like a bug, you small, insignificant..."
Tancred's face grows grave as he replies over the stream of invective coming from Karnas the sword. "Adventure? Alas, nothing you would call 'adventure'... Karnas and I have wandered over four worlds seeking mighty deeds and found zip. Still, we saw some cool sights, and soaked up the suns whenever we could. Still couldn't find anyone who could fix this damn armour properly... but I can see you havea tale to tell. Go on." "... and your mother!" Karnas finishes.

OOC: I think so
IC: The elf stuck out his tongue to the sword before answering Tancred "Well, I was fighting a ferocious monster one day, and when I ducked to avoid a sweep of it's claws I found a soddy piece of paper. After I didn't run but heroically defeated the foul beast I kinda fell into a port...al... and I thought, since I had nothing to do I might as well read what it said. Which is not a good idea. Never try to read inside a portal. No Sir. Anyway, turned out to be a map, with lots of lines on it. It said something about leading to the cave of near-unimaginable wealth and giant killer butterflies. Some time later I ran across a bard named Bryth, odd fellow that, and he told me that no single person could hope to reach the treasures inside. He wasn't sure about two either." He keptboth the map and the details to entering the cave hidden a moment longer as he tried to measure the paladin's reaction. |
