OOC>>>Come on, Galadria! You can do it!
I have perfect faith in you....back here...

================================================== ===================

OOCC>>>Misty-poo...this is my little way of changing my story of Raymond, and even if the beast dies by your hand...I gotta make him do certain things...to Raymond...It is my first attempt at something out of the ordinary for me. Hope you won't be pissed!

IC>>>Raymond

Laying his head down to rest, he quickly jerked up again, realizing that he had not wished Isaura a good, safe night. As mother had taught him, he was so determined to keep up with tradition that he left his warm pillow to find Isaura and make it right with her, before he napped. As he stepped out of the tent, his smile melted away to a silent scream. He saw Isaura with her hands raised in the air, and what looked to be faling stars raining down upon the high grass out in the field. If that did not frighten him enough, what he saw in the field did. A dark shape was out there, desperately dodging the falling death and the fire that had been set to the field! His feelings had been true! There was something after them! Raymond just stood there, scared and shocked, not knowing what he was supposed to do.

OOC>>> Okay, I won't spoil your fun... just to let you know, she's a level 9 illusionist But you shouldn't be controlling my character's actions I actually did not want her to use her meteors, but I'll let you off this once

IC>>>
Isaura

As the last set of meteors is depleted, she hurriedly casts a mirror image of herself. Obviously, the figure, while shaken, will not be distracted from its path. It remains crouching, watching her with a dangerous glint in its eyes.

"Creso..paer.." ~ Chanting again, she produces another set of 9 meteors. Her own eyes gleaming in the dark.

OOC>>>Damn! I mis-read your post! I thought that you had already began launching them! I was not controlling your character...merely obliging to what I thought you had already done. Punk

Raymond

"Isaura! Wh..What do I do! What do you want me to do?"

Raymond stood there, shivering, holding his sword in both trembling hands.

The two hear a low growl, feline-like, but very large, and can only see a dark shape with bright green eyes watching you from the shadows. The fire in the field has nearly died out, and the creature begins to move more freely, keeping it's distance, yet always watching you as it paces back and forth.

OOC>>> Obviously a non-mage-player Anyone who's cast this spell knows you can hold on to the meteors for as long as you wish... they only disappear on rest, I think

Isaura

Hearing Raymond's shaky voice behind, she stiffens, then hisses ~ "Do what you want!" ~ Her hands holding onto the fiery globes which strangely seem cool to the touch ~ "Just be careful, whatever you do. This creature is here to kill."

She remains standing, her eyes narrowed in concentration at the scene ahead.

Raymond

"I do not get it! Your fires should have scared the thing off, unless it is rabid...or something." Taking up a bit of courage to take a step or two...Raymond begins to call, "Here kitty, kitty! Why are you such a bad kitty, eh?"

================================================== ==================

Out in the grass, the figure is thinking..."What a complete moron! That settles it, then. I do not care if that bitch hurls fire at me...this ignorant fool is going to die, first!" The giant panther makes ready to pounce at any moment towards the two victims. He was not overly concerned with them.. His regeneration rate was faster than most of his kind as well as his ability to be naturally faster than these humans...which they term as hasted...or something...

Isaura

With horror, she sees the creature leaping past her and towards Raymond. There is no time for warnings; he must act as he deems fit. Hurriedly, she chants loudly, directing a lower resistance spell on the obviously resilient creature.

OOC>>>it's a panther-were (sp)?

Like on Tales of the Sword Coast, there were werewolves and wolfweres, and the wolfweres were wolves that could take the shape of a man at will, though the werewolves were men taht took the shape of wolves at the moon. This is a panther-were. I hope you do not mind me having a bit of fun...Let's see if you have the courage to go on after this!

Raymond

Too late did he realize that he had walked a little too close. Now, the thing that he could see clearly was a large, ebony cat, came pouncing on him faster than he could scream. He put up his sword and began to hack as soon as the cat came into reach. The tremendous speed of the animal and its weight did not get slowed by Raymond's lashing. It hurled into him, knocking him down, and ripped a gash in his chest. He put up his arm in defense of the teeth, as they were aimed at his throat, and screamed in terrible pain as those teeth tore his arm apart. His mind began to drift, ...marriage...Isaura...Eliza...sewers...the farm...

Deciding that he had this victim under control amd immobile, The panther looked up from his near-kill to the woman. Blood was running freely from his lips that was not his own, and he eyed the mage now with resentment. It was time to do take her. Growling low, he portrayed his intentions...

PS...don't let it bite you!
