250: Thanks for helping me update that info.

Cloudbringer: Thanks for the work you are about to do. I was actually trying to do all this alone, and not bother you with it, but there is just so much work! I have spent 2 hours, just updating and cleaning!!! I am rather kapoot!

By the way...about dropping RPGs outta my list...if I notice that I have one on my list that has not been visited in a week, should I remove that game from my list? DO you think that I could keep up with info like that?

So what are you suggesting we take down? The rules posted by Ziroc? The clan information that Memnoch recommended I supply? What about The famous posts that would give people a place to showcase great works so that we could all enjoy them? Cloudy has already said that she would take this thread down after she got what she needed from it.
The only thing that slows this forum down from loading is when people use their 8 inch long signatures too often. I say we ban signatures from the site. Nobody could argue that it would help. There is more memory carried on thoses signatures than on several posts because of pictures.

Before I go any further... THANK YOU, MODS! For spending so much time, energy and effort in maintaining the generally fun-filled atmosphere of this forum

Now... to the serious stuff...

1) Removing signatures would be a big help to me especially if I were at home, trying so hard to load the pages in IW. But it's just me, and I'm not sure if others will have violent objections to this

2) Personally, I feel that there is room for more tolerance in some of the threads. For example, say a non-good alignment clan / RP game is being set up and the founder is recruiting. There are some good/neutral alignment roleplayers who tend to overdo it yet again. Barging in, casting heaps of uber-powerful spells, bashing every living thing/structure in sight... you get the idea

By all means, every one has a right to roleplay, but I still see powerplayers around and this spoils the fun (even of reading the thread) considerably. My suggestion would be to Give others a chance to react in time, and definitely leave others a reasonable chance of survival and rebuilding their establishment.

Frankly, I don't see the fun in eliminating a fledgling clan that has not had the time to build up to prove a real challenge.

That's all I have to say for now. I'll post more if I come across any other ideas.

Some very good points, mistral. Thanks for sharing your ideas- please post any others you have.

How about we try something that Wyvern, mod of Wizards and Warriors has been doing. Everyone uses his/her sig on first post of a thread/page but not after that. Helps cut down load time immensely!
Hard to do here as our default is with the sig ON now, so people have to remember to turn it off, but regulars will learn.

I can add that to the guidelines... but let's not harass anyone who might accidentally leave a sig on.

How does everyone feel about this. It is impossible to keep up with all the RPGs being played on this forum, and to keep a running, accurate record of them is insane. Yet, Other Moderators have advised that I DO keep a record of existing clans...for accountability reasons. I suggest that I remove the games played from my running directory, since they are ever changing, and only keep the clans listed, though I do believe a few clans no longer operate. I would like to remove those clans that seem disbanded. How do you all feel about that?

Hi, Larry. Glad to be back in IW. Mistral has given me a couple of posts for Hazardous Times, and I can't get back in. I am going to tell her, but is it that she and only she can open up Hazardous Times again. I noticed that Sir Byronas opened Keldorn's Order.

The forum is behaving strangly. Go to the filter to view the past 20 days, and post. It will post, but the thread may or may not make it to the front page here, where you see this notice, now. If it does, then it may kick another's thread off of this page. I have e-mailed Ziroc about it. If you still cannot get in, PM me, and I will try to post it for you (and Mistral).

EDIT>>>I managed to bump it to the top without posting to it. See if you can post now.

Thanks, Larry, for the fast response. Mistral is VERY anxious to get those posts done.
