Yes. I believe we just hit 20 million.
Our island state of Tasmania is supposed to be aprox. the same size as the Netherlands.
Isn't Holland actually only two of the provinces? North and South Holland?

I believe you mean DESERT Azuth. And no it is not all desert, far from it. The desert that is there is also nothing like the sahara or dune deserts and manage to support animal life. I spent four years as a child on the edge of the Gibson Desert in a mining town in Nth West Australia. As an adult I've been to every state and territory bar the above mentioned Tasmania.

Believe me it supports much life and has areas bigger than England that have much rain.

You tool Azuth, I didn't say the Sahara didn't support life, I said the deserts were different.

Man you know how to piss someone off. Go and ignorantly make a derogatory generalisation on their diversely beautiful homeland. Stay in England then. I've been to England and can say it's beautiful. You haven't been here and know jack shit about it, yet with your bad spelling that makes communication in your first language very difficult, make an ignorant statement slagging the country.

Yes I'm flaming, no I'm not joking or mucking around like I often am, I'm pissed off by your small minded statement. Don't go into foreign affairs will you.

I'm going for a swim to cool off.

If anyone thinks I'm out of line they can Email me at chanteur@bigpond.com, don't bother posting.

Sorry about the over-reaction. Real life dumped on me this morning.

I didn't know you were dyslexic. I asked that in a different thread and so hadn't read it before my reply. Good on you for talking on the net.

I made no side shot at England. As I said I've been there and find it pretty. I know it once had forest throughout, all I was stating was that Australia has areas the size of other countries of a particular environment. Ignorant generalisations make me pretty upset, but I'm sorry for my reaction.

Look if anyone else comes in on this thread, please don't add to it. I wouldn't mind letting this slide to the bottom of the pile.

Wow you guys are good with words (takes hat off)
i wish you guys were around to help with the thesis. i have trouble writing a page of info about something i know heaps about, let alone writing all this stuff about very little. i can see why i choose engineering and not journalism or marketing.

I think the time has come to end this thread (getting too long anyway). If it gets any longer we might have another crash and I don't want to have my name associated with that

Time to jump out of the plane without a parachute and freefall, baby!
