Another things about Seraph (what I remembered when I read about him in this thread) is that they say: "The Fallen One!" "Yeah, but without wings this time" Seraph used to have wings!! I'm pretty sure this derives from his angelic name. Any thoughts on that one?

On the ending: putting the horrible background city (which was incredibly fake) aside, I'm still not sure what we did see. Is it really a revolution? Isn't it just another reload? Aren't the machines just making the people believe they won, so they will think they have achieved their goal? I think this was all just a hoax: the machines wanted it to go this way. The cycle has completed itself once more, only to begin in a nearby future once again.

An Agent can... so could he, I guess.

The way all the programs speak about deletion, it sounds more like permanent death than temporary removal from the Matrix. Is the Oracle 'The' Oracle, or was it a different Oracle each time?

But, if it's all a part of the machines cycle of the matrix, then how would they trick the humans into regoining the matrix? Or maybe its the humans choice to go in or not, like someone said earlier. If they decided to return, then the machines could just keep them plugged somehow...

The only way to give them choice would be *inside* the Matrix, I think. Let's remember, humans are born in vats, which are then converted into the larger "grownup" vats. It seems they spend little time conscious at all before being plugged in.

As for whether Oracle would face "deletion" in a permanent sense upon accomplishing purpose, I don't know. Smith did. But, a deletion of her could still be Reloaded. When you delete a file in BG2, you get it back if you reinstall. Or, you can copy just the one file back in. Remember, the whole trainman thing makes use of the fact that programs travel into and out of the Matrix.

I have my ponderings about something. If Neo as The One was just another program or way of control how can he exist outside of the Matrix? Afterall he is free similar to Smith. They are both "free". And howcome that he didn`t save Trinity by just a tought. Afterall he is the One...

If youre talking about when she got 'speared', its probably because he didn't have enough power to.

Neo is not just a program. He's a programmed person, a programmed mind. As a program, he has a connection with the "hive mind" (which the machines communicate by) when he's in the real world. Think of it as an integrated wireless modem. Centrino Neo.

Even if he could change programs by thinking about them (which I don't think he can -- he has to have his code commingle with theirs, I think), Neo would nevertheless likely *touch* the things he's changing. Why? Well, as a "person" he thinks in terms of touch, feel, see, do, so even if his *touching* of Trinity was only a "mental crutch" for him, it's still something he would do.

You know what I'd like to see? Matrix 4, or Matrix: Revelations, in which the One is born again and leads a misguided attempt to battle the machines once more, forcing the humans of Zion to stop the One before he/she sparks off another war... taking the biblical inplications of the One to the Nth degree. Matrix meets The Omen!

If he has programmed mind how could he made that choice and went through the other door(at the Soruce in Reloaded)? Sure you can assume that, that was also programmed but how if he is "free" or at least he should be "free".
