Especially when you take in the fact that swords are NOT actually made for slashing, they were made for BREAKING bones. Thus for bludgeoning. The cut thing stuff is just one extra advantage

Link, you're a genius! I think. The annoying green things (Mustard Slime or Green Jelly?) are immune to slashing damage! lol.

Actually, AFAIK oozes aren't immune to slashing weapons. Some are immune to spells, and some to normal and low-enchanted weapons, but I don't believe any are. Clay and magic golems are it in terms of immunities. Oh, on second thought, I think that some may have slashing resistances, but not full-blown immunities.

Hehe, I know what the single creature is. I would not have guessed it in a million years, but now I delight in the glee that is knowledge.

At the moment, it carries no new restrictions. I just might add the Equipping Effect of "Cannot Use Any Item" to it, but if the sword is already in the person's hand, it'll probably be too late. As for its power: If it makes you think long & hard about the relative merits of Carsomyr+6 vs. Purifier+5, then I'll have done my job.

Still don't know what the damn single creature is...Ellisime, maybe?
I think plot-related immunities can be disregarded here--after all, no weapon except Illithid tentacles can kill Chap. 1 Imoen, or Elhan, or pre-Nyalee Yaga-Shura, but these are obvious exceptions.

Pyrenk, one of the single creatures that Carsomyr cannot hit seems to vary from system to system: My computer's version was immune to +5 but fell to +6, while Jim reported that not even +6 did anything against his version.

Link, Mustard Jellies are NOT immune to Slashing, they are immune to Piercing. Poke one with your Dagger or Short Sword and see for yourself.

Ah well, it was worth the try! Maybe we should just randomly call names of monsters until we find out which monster we're talking about here
Hmm... let me think.. It's a specific monster we're talking about here, and it's in Baldur's Gate 2 (ToB).. Now what monster could it be?

Ah what the hell! I think I'm close enough with the jellies!

Jim used MMMs versus her? It's the only +6 weapon I can think of that is available in SoA.

Are we talking SoA then? Not ToB as well? As Carsomyr +6 was mentioned, I thought Throne of Bhaal was included...

Question Mark

It's coming along nicely, ross. My comp wiped out my first savegame, so I'm back in the Irenicus dungeon, which is frustrating, but I am very happy with what I see. I have also asked some relative newb friends of mine to try it, and they're walking through insane, even though they've never beaten the game before. The ranger/cleric and the fighter/thief really carry the party through the early going.

With mods, you could conceivably also have the Soul Reaver +6 as well as the claws of a totemic druid's summon, lion I believe. My personal version of the monster was definitely immune to +5, don't know about +6.
