I realize that, Link. Remember, the only PC I've actually played all the way through SoA was a Wizard Slayer. I'm well aware of the equipment restrictions. The point I'm trying to make to those that don't seem to like the class is that the restrictions are NOT as limited as the description leads you to believe.

Armor and weapons makes it sound as if helms, shields, and armor are the ONLY items a Wizard Slayer can wear. I was trying to show that several other items (such as Boots of Speed) also count as "armor" and are usable by the Wizard Slayer. Yes, the class is still restricted in the items it can use - but actual list of items the can use is not as limited as some people seem to think.

I would LOVE to create a Wizard Slayer NPC for the game, but I'm not familiar enough with the process to do it. I also don't know how to actually get into the Editor to type in the code. And if I did create the NPC, I would give him/her some unique items, which means I would have to learn how to create items as well. I've fumbled around with that for a bit, but never had any success at it.

Maybe someday I'll have time to sit down and try to figure out how to do it. Right now, though, I'm just too pressed for time.

AND, Wizard Slayer's Disruption works THROUGH Stoneskin AND Mirror Image. Now imagine a mirror images stoneskinner, which can absorb about 15 blows before being really vulnerable. After the 6th blow, the mage doesn't have a chance anymore, even though wearing mirror image and stoneskin. That's only 2 rounds! The same rounds in which the mage CASTED those spells in the first place, save a trigger.

I'd like to add I tried my lone WS against Illasera yesterday. She casted ONE spell, Summon Monster, after that every single one failed! And that only was because she casted it in the time it took me to walk over to her!

One theory I have not tested out yet though, is the effect of his ability when used in conjunction with AoE missiles such as Arrows of Detonation or Fire Seeds.

ADD] Additionally, the WSlayer's SDisruption ignores spell immunities, like the RAKRING.ITM or the DEMILICH.ITM to quote a few.
I will bow down and worship the WS if he can do the SDisruption through PfMW. But I don't think that's the case.

There is nothing that the WSlayer has on a Druid. Except for the fighting part. And for that, I would take a regular fighter.

[/QUOTE]00FF00">Merkle the Wizard Slayer was facing a Mage with Protection from Magical Weapons, and was pondering what to do as the Mage laughed cruelly in his face.

Merkle looked at his sword.

Merkle looked at the Mage.

Merkle threw away his sword and punched the Mage with his bare UNENCHANTED fists, connecting with the Mage as the power of his Spell Disruption ability bypassed the Mage's Magic Resistance, Stoneskins and Mirror Image.

It was a bad day for the Mage.

Yes, it does. However, you would be better off just using any unenchanted weapon that your WSlayer is proficient in.

I used fists in my parable as an extreme example.

I am pretty sure spell disruption is melee hit only...when i was fooling around with it a while back, i noticed the affect in shadowkeeper, and i noticed its similarity to certain other affects i was fooling around with, like dispell on melee hit for the anti paladin, and deathbringer...

however, you should still get area effect if you're using the club of detonation, or harbringer sword...that would be fun to test...has anyone ever given saravok the club of detonation, and seen it explode, and deathbringer multiple creatures?

hmmm...i wonder if storm star's chain lightning would carry spell disruption, or deathbringer..

of course my favorite is still area effect g deathblow...

oh yeah, most powerful party...
