Hello everyone, relatively new to the forum, long time D & D afficianado

The name "gurthang" is from Tolkien, I believe it was one of the names for Turin Turambar's sword, it means "iron of death".

Another name I frequently use is Torin the Grey, a character I played back in my A,D&D days, a ranger, the last of the Arilinian Brotherhood, Keeper of Lore, Master of the Old Ways.

Great. I asked my parents what Zuvio meant and they don't even know it. You just made me a UGO.

Quote (Silmarilion, Tolkien) (Forgive me for the poor translation):

Gurthang: Iron of Death, Name of Beleg's sword Anglachel after it was reforged in Nargothrond for Túrin. After that it was renamed ''Mormegil''

And, IIRC, Mormegil means 'Black Blade' or something like that.

An other Quote out of the Silmarilion:

Mormegil: The Black Blade, Name that was given at Túrin as leader of the army of Nargothrond.

People should ask thereself what is Nargothrond then?

Nargothrond: The great under ground fortress along side the great river of Narog, Raised/Made (?) by Finrod Felagund and Destroyed by Glaurung; also the realm Nargothrond that was located east and west of Narog.

My last and final add up:

Glaurung: The first of the Morgoth Dragons, Also called The Father of the Dragons. (Killed by Túrin in the Cabed-en-Aras)
