Just wanted to gripe a little. Two day's ago I cracked a wisdom tooth open and made an appointment with my Detist to get it pulled. So this morning I go in expecting for the pain to be finally releved and to my utter amazement,, they tell me that the no longer carry my insurance...W.T.F. I hate all this standarized crap about insurance carrier's, do you have a ppo or an hmo, I dont really give a flying #^%@ who or what I have I pay good money for this crap and it is only good in certain places. S.O.B.... needless to say if you cannot tell I am rather perterbed by this. So now I have to wait longer and find another new Dentist, this is the fourth one in 3 year's. I am sick of meeting new one's. I do not like letting just any old dentist in my mouth, some of them are real quack's and dont know a cavity from there dairyere.
Rant mode off: So how is everyone else doing? Hopefully well. |

Best of luck to you with your tooth Elif, I'm doing reasonably well since I'll be back on sunday to torture you all full-time instead of just about an hour each day

Hi everybody. (pulls Sepiroth out of the toilet, wipes him off with a baby wipe which every good mommy carries around)(pulls off boot, talks to slime) Er, Neb, I sure won't say anything good about Oesterreich. (stabs at map of Central Europe) My keyboard doesn't have an umlaut, or one of those slashed o thingies. Do you need rescuing? Hi, Lioness. How's about a BIG cup of coffee. My Mass. friend just IM'ed me that there's a lot of cold and ice up there.

Elif, don't even get me started on the insurance issue! I spent a thoroughly miserable summer with allergies because my hmo went out of business and I joined a new (very good otherwise) hmo that has a closed list of prescription drugs it covers and MY allergy drug was not on it. I spent all summer back and forth getting approval two years ago for the drug to be covered because I can't take anything else without side effects. The catch? Approval is for ONE YEAR and has to be requested by the doctor every time it ends. My doctor moved, I found out AFTER I ran out of medication and thus the runaround began... sigh...
I really hope you get that tooth cared for soon! OUCH! I"m sending warm and NON-painful thoughts your way! Cloudy

Hi, Regin. Actually, my undergraduate minor was in Chemistry, but my best subject, there, was organic chemistry. Gotta love Benzine rings. Cloudy, sorry to hear about your woes. We don't take HMO's for very similar reasons, ethical and in the interest of having charge of our practice. What was your medication? There's a brand new one called Clarinex that we are having great success with, here in East Texas, the allergy capitol of the world. Unfortunately, no pediatric form, yet, though.
