Aww... come on!!! That is so foul!!! I wanna use those!!! Can't there be something like... "This rule applies for all EXCEPT for on member, who knows how to use it without flaming others in anyway , etc."? Heehee

I am against it, but whatthehell! I'm gonna follow the big man!

I had a bit of a run-in with a new member who used the f word four times in one sentence up in the BG+TotSC forum. Avatar and I warned him, then Melusine, Sorceror Alex and HisDivineShadow came to help, and finally Ertai joined battle (): he seems to have disappeared. I agree that you can use many less offensive words instead of the f word, so people DO TRY.

I agree this is an interesting subject. My grandmother, who was Irish regularly used the word 'feck'. For some reason this didn't seem in the least bit vulgar. Have you noticed that it seems fine to swear in a foreign language. I think this could explain some of the swearing on this board as many members don't speak English as their first language.

Can you guess in which part of the world uyou are likely to get the most violent reaction if you call a woman a 'silly cow'?

Over here in the UK, we sometimes use swear-word replacements which appear in popular TV/Radio shows.
For example:
Smegg off! (from Red Dwarf, a cult TV show)
What a load of Kak! (from Steve Wright's radio show, from a while back now)

I find that I regulate my swearing to the company I am with. When I'm with my mates you will probably hear the odd f-word, whereas you will NOT find me saying such things in front of my family or other polite company.

I know that 'silly cow' is an immature insult in German.
EDIT: See Donut's post

So I guess that means you do not consider anyone here polite?
