I can't always choose what life throws at me, but I can choose how to respond to it. Yeah, Gangrell might be skipping the college parties. But he's also opening the possibility of being able to send kids out the door into the real world before he's 40, and recreate his own life then. And that ain't all bad... believe me.
Sounds like a plan.

Well, I did say I'd probably disappear at the end of the year, but it was for different reasons this time (no broadband for 2 months, eck). But I finally got it reinstalled so I thought I'd drop by.

Here he is

You women can have the whole birth experience, having to watch the mrs go through that was enough for me. She was in labor for about 16 hours and they had to induce it, but he still had a hard time trying to come out. They did make a small mistake though, they put her on the epidural very early into it, so by the time she actually had to push him out, it had almost completely worn off, so they had to give her three boosts of pain killers.

We're both lucky, he's a really good baby. Only time he cries is when he's hungry, even when he craps himself, he just goes back to sleep

As for the lack of sleep (and strength), constantly watching him and such, it's all worth it so nwah to you non-believers

See you around guys.

Congratulations!! The first two months are the hardest, feedings every two to three hours, 24 hours a day. After that they tend to sleep through the night and you get some of your time back. It is all worth it though.

Congrats! Michael looks like he's going to steal the hearts of grandparents easily, and the young ladies later

Just remember to schedule time for you and the Mrs. to sleep... even if you have to invite people over and then go to bed. Grandparents enjoy that kind of thing... usually

And while some kids sleep through the night early on (like my daughter), others don't... like my son...

Just enjoy whatever life brings you.

Cool, enjoy it while it lasts. In about 15 years, you'll be praying for 3am feedings again...

Well, the mrs didn't really go for the name 'Ganon'

@ Mack: His mother

@ Robert: Yeah, I know what you mean. I was looking through the family photo album the other day and thought, "It's going to be a shame when he grows up."

@ Bungleau: Actually, he sleeps pretty well already. Slept for 8-9 hours straight last night, but the first night we brought him home, he stayed up until 7 am, because he doesn't like his crib, he sleeps in the car seat.

Had fun the other night, came home from work and he threw up on me like Linda Blair.

Ahh, fatherhood

The true sign of fatherhood is *not* getting thrown up on. It's when you run, with arms outstretched and hands cupped, trying to catch it as its being thrown up...
