And round and round you people go on one logic problem ;p

Alrighty, I'll give you guys a new logic puzzle to think through.

You and your friend are playing a game with coins.

The coins are arranged in piles of 1, 2, and 3.

You always go first.

Each player has the option of removing one coin, or picking up the entire pile.

Whoever picks up the last coin loses.

How do you win?

Take one coin from the pile with 2. You leave him with 1,1,3. He takes either 1, you take the pile of three leaving him with 1. He takes the pile of three, you take 1, leaving him with 1. He takes 1 from the three, you take one from the 3, leaving 1,1,1. He takes, you take, he takes last.

Switch the rules around... last coin wins. How do you play?

Well if you remove the entire 2 stack you can make sure you'll leave him with three options all giving you a posibility to pick the last coin(s). If he picks the 1 coin you remove the 3 stack = you win. If he picks one from the 3 stack you do the same = you win. If he picks the entire 3 stack you take the single coin = you win.

I've got a good one too (also based on logic).

So this Princess is locked in the castle with only three enterances. The Prince has to save her and marry her. To do this he has to get in the castle to the Princess.

Now
In the first enterance there is a large fire. If Prince goes that way he MUST get burned.
In the secon enterance there is a really beautiful maiden. If the Prince goes that way he MUST fall in love with the maiden and marry her forever.
In the third enterance there is a ferocious tiger. If the Prince goes that way he MUST get devoured by the tiger.

So,
How can the Prince marry the Princess?

please note the "MUST" in each case...

it means no matter what he does that thing will happen.
Even if he is blindfolded he will fall in love with the maiden and marry her forever.
Even if he puts tons of tiger repellant spray he will still get devoured.

Nah... the solution is much simpler than that . Don't think creative.

He has to give her the key, so she can free herself. She'll pick door number two, take the beautiful maiden out with her, and the three of them live happily ever after!!
