CPU cooler=Thermaltake Tower 102
What have you thought of this? I've considered getting one, but I have my concerns about how effective it would be, so I was wondering what you thought.

lol, I had ALOT of problems with it, but they were my fault.
It is GREAT, but due to my MoBo being an AMD supporting one, the way it attaches itself to the mobo is through a bracket on either side of the board, my problem was that my mobo(for some reason) dint have these holes that were needed to allow both brakets to attach to eath other, so i have a complex system in place to hold it in position (two CD's stacked on each other plus my TV card remote ) which is ontop of the tower's heatsink and is held in place by the opposing force of the side panel

But once it has the proper pressure it is great, I can over clock my 2.2 to 2.5 and not really notice any heat increse.

so far I have been unable to get below 39 degres and have not been able to get above 43 degrees (celcius) so it really is a great CPU cooler, provided you can attatch it

And once I get a better Motherboard it will be even better

I use a Zalman 7700cu which ws about £35. It's pretty big and overhangs the memory too, and uses a 120mm fan to shift the air, but thankfully it's very quiet .

Ah. The XP120 is very good at cooling too. It's a pity it isn't a bit smaller though, it's very fiddly to change the P4 ATX power connector when it's in.

Yeah I looked at getting the XP120. It's far and away the best heatsink available, but I was having a dilema as to which fan to get for it. I needed something really quiet, and I wasn't sure that a Vantec Stealth fan would shift enough air for it so went for the next best thing .

Noise sorta went out the window for me. I got a Delta Screamer on mine, 60Db but shifts 195CFM).

Luckily, I got a Nexus Vantec fan controller however, so it's not too loud when turned down.

Well, i'm going to have to post about my computer, although it's been a year since my last real upgrade, so it's not top of the line.
AMD Barton 2800+ OC'd to 3200+
1 gig DDR 400mhz dual channel ram
radeon 9600 LE with 256 meg DDR ram
2 120gig IDE 7200 HDDs in raid 0
17" CRT monitor and 19" CRT
gigabyte ethernet, 5.1 surround sound, 400w powersupply, dvd reader, cd burner, zip drive, digital tv card.

My laptop is faster, as a P4 3.2, 1 gig DDR 400 dual channel ram, radeon mobility 9800 with 256 ram, 80gig hdd, dvd burner etc.

I still much prefer my desktop, but i think i should upgrade it soonish, i have been contemplating a processor upgrade, which i might complete within the week.
That's about it

Bloody hell man, I think you should tidy up your PC cabling while tidying your room. I bet you could get 5 degrees cooler at least if you got rid of all that mess.

Yeah, the room is lean now, and the cabling was everywhere while I was installing my new fan moniter and new case fans and stuff.
