id lend credance to a valued argument regardless whether from a 6 year old or a 66 year old, if the 6 year old could put an argument that well and i didnt know he was 6, would be impressive and its about the argument not about the person that posts it, thats the only way to look at it unbiased, you cannot prejudge someone if you know nothing about them (well ok you can, you judge em as someone who doesnt want you to know ) therefore making a more balanced debating platform.

and i was only jokin bout the bugging

and erm thanks vixen, now im not sure if your joking or not?

Grungi: If the person is in a furball, that usually means that there is a decided lack of coherency in their post, you can't always tell by someones sentrence structure if they are old or young, they may just not be native to the language, I think in order to sift a dificult debate for useful information, it is imperitive for me to know approximate age and or point of origin, it allows me to allow for language, cultural and generational differences and will also help prevent me from taking offense if they say something that may be ok, where they are from or within their generation.

CV Thanks for the affirmation.

furball erm havent heard that term used in that context before i assume u mean a mass of jumbled opinions or someat? like all my posts basically

and yeah you want to know who your talking to of course we all do, i want to know as well but in a debate its better not to know so that everyone is on equal ground:

eg if i happened to be a 14 year old who had gone through alot in my life but was also mature for my age and had a lot of very good opinions i would feel VERY upset if someone discounted my posts merely due to my age and the assumption i knew little compared to them because of it, assumption is the mother of all f... ups for my age i been through alot and experienced alot compared to so many of my friends, some have never even left the country which to me is a bit insular, their choice, but travelling opens your mind alot. I would be very annoyed if a 40 year old started saying he knows more than me or has experienced more than me on a said subject just because hes 40 and im 24, so you see why some people prefer not to post age or location etc.

now knowing what i know of you so far im pretty sure you'd take that 14 year old on the value of his posts and not his age because you seem to reason an argument before you reply, therefore contradicting what you said thats just my opinion and say im wrong if you will, but i feel you'd be reasonable when dealing with someone like that and not automatically discount them because of age.

Well I read the post first I never look at there age or where any of you come from I look at where you are from just out of curiosty. I look at the post content if it is polite and fun to read and you are not rude your are good in my eyes. I feel the forums are here to be fun and to meet people. If you do not like a post you have the right not to post in it. So I take the opinion of everyone as long as it is polite and not rude. Some time you can get alot out of a poster that is younger and you also can get alot out of a poster that is older. The only time I really look at the location if the topic is hard to understand. Just because maybe this person has a little harder time with english. Heck I speak english and do not make sense sometimes. And my spelling is terrible. But that does not mean I have a Opinion that could not be a benefit.

I think by "furball" one means either this or this.

Question Mark

if you'll notice, i am from limbo! it's not a real place, but when i first got "on-line" at 16 my mom asked that we not reveal our real location, so i have always done limbo, except now i realize that my yahoo profile must say something different as i have had guys from york and harrisburg im me and assume that since my profile has "i gots a man in the army" that he must be away and i am lonely wanting what they can offer me. see how dangerous it can be? if they had my first and last name and the city i live in or even region they could find me. fortunately i don;t think i have my real name in my yahoo profile.

also for ppl like my husband, he is currently located in central pa, but he's from idaho, and loves idaho and wants to go back and live in idaho, so his veiws are idaho colored no matter where he is, so knowing he is in central pa helps no one. also he changed his location i think after something i had to say about him always being honest with it.

back to my limbo, even tho it has been my answer to location for years now i have been in an emotional limbo for quite sometime now. you see the 3 yr old in my sig pic??? she's my flesh and blood and if you wanted to know what i looked like at three you'd just have to look at her. she is my daughter, my angel, my light and my life, and i don;t have custody of her. therefore i am in limbo, even if only emotionally, and it hink an emotional location is more important sometimes than physical.

p.s. i'm 22, i spent several years as a single mom, and am now a happily married mom, anyone wants ot know just ask, my opinions are based on my experiences.

Who's opinions are you more likely to pay attention to?

As of the last few days....certainly not mine!
