Mine had a 5.25" floppy drive on it. Of course the games came on cassette, but it was a matter of an hour to copy the game over and then you could run it in seconds. Quite handy when you consider it could take 10-20 minutes to load from cassette. Of course, twasnt easy to install the FDD. IIRC it took my dad quite a while to hook it up - the old ZX never had a proper drive controller, or in fact any proper busses to attach one to. And then there was the software to access the floppy. I still dont know how he managed to get that working.

Other customisations I got courtesy of my father included a printer from some sales till somewhere - again it must has been a right pain to get that working. I stil dont know what he was using it for.

And of course, that truly essential add on, the missing reset button. For those of us that like to finish games even with younger siblings in the room.

I loved that machine. And then the damn man sold it. Typical.

First electronic game: some silly thing where you moved a plastic wheel that turned a plastic small car inside a small handheld box where there were LCD obstacles to dodge.

First Console game: Pac-Man or Space Invaders for Atari. But the Circus game where you bounce and get ballons had them both beat (remember those damned wheel-paddles?)

First Computer Game: Don't really remember.
