Hmm.

I just came back on to apologise. I heard about it on the radio this morning, and thought about the Olympics. I didn't think about G8, and as that was my first thought it stuck.

After watching the news (I've not been able to see much), I retract what I said and I do think that it was Al-Q and to disrupt the G8 summit.

I was making most of my comments blind, as I'd not heard many reports. Most of it was by phone call.

Sorry to piss you off.

Exactly.

We've just had some guy on BBC News, saying that the Power Surge was the best explanation. Because if they hit a sub-station, it will surge down the lines, blowing up other sub-stations and de-railing trains etc.

I was screaming at the tv - WHAT ABOUT THE BUS??
[/QUOTE]I would imagine the first thing is to prevent panic, talk of a power surge, would cause far less panic than reports of bombs, enabling the Emergency services to clear the Areas

I think there has been enough trouble today without an arguement breaking out here, don't you?

No probs, just a bit upset at the moment.

There are rescues taking place on the underground at Kings x according to London Ambulance services spokesman

Good luck everybody. My girlfriend passed through that station this morning but luckily just missed the explosions. Apparently there's no panic on the streets which is good, that would make everything worse.

Just out of interest do you think Blair should stay up at the G8 summit? I think that if he stays he'll get attacked for indifference but then again, staying would send a strong signal that life will continue on.

He's leaving but going back in the evening. The talks are continuing without him.

Extremely far fetched to expect it to be because of the Olympics. It's either Al Qaeda or something to do with the G8.

Did you hear Blair's statement.
He was saying terrorists to do with the G8 opening.

The streets are chaos. Reports of people with loss of limbs, I've just seen two blood donor vans go past in the space of about 5 minutes. Nobody knows what to do. Police are encouraging everyone to keep calm, but even they admit its hard to do at this time.
