God's truth?
God blind me?

Why would you want to say that?

So silly the Japanese apparently have no concept of it in their language.
That is why somebody I know told me that he found it very funny when he saw Japanese men (military I think) learning to say vulgarities in Russian when they were docked for a time, since they wanted to curse, but had no way of doing so in their own language.

Yorick, Sexed up is pretty offensive. I'm going to start a comittee to ban the use of that phrase!

On another, less serious note, I wasn't being dead serious Wellard, I'm just trying to show certain people's tolerances towards obscenity. I grew up hearing it so often I don't even care when someone says something like that.

same here Oblivion437 I have to try hard not to cuss in front of my kids, because it is something I grew up doing, and my husband is just as bad about it, it is like a second language....

one thing we use here, that our parents taught us, instead of the sob thing, we say son of a bisquit eater, easy to forget being mad when you say it

I grew up not hearing it. My preacher fathers worst language would be "bloody" if he was really angry.

My use is probably reactionary overcompensation for growing up as a preachers kid

Fidlem Benz (I'm not sure if you spell it like that)

Is a slur of ye grande olde paste (er...past) referring to a morally-depraved thief who will steal anything and take from anyone, just because the opportunity presents itself. It was featured in Gangs of New York, employed (hypocritically) by a member of Bill Cutting's gang.
